regarding goodwill of indian cricket
by chandrakant mishra on Sep 23, 2005 07:18 PM

if india is aiming for the coming world cup-2007, our present indian captain and left handed batsman Sourav Ganguly must be fired out from the team and taken away untill he brings his form and fitness back. it is only the option to recover the bad condition of the team because if a ship can be saved from the danger by throwing out one person then its enough strong reason to do it.

ganguly selfish
by sanjib jha on Sep 23, 2005 07:15 PM

i think ganguly has been sucessfull due to some other players and not by his performance. when India was down and certain to loose Kolkata match against austrlia in 2001 it was laxman and dravid who save the face. again in 2002 in W.I it was due to sachin 100's India won the second test. and also in England in same year it was brilliant performance by Dravid, Laxman, and Sachin India won the Test. In World Cup who can forget single handly batting and single handly Bowling Performance by Sachin and Srinath who took India into the W.C finals. In Austrlia too in 2003 it was Dravid and Laxman who played big role apart from Kumble and Agrkar to win the Test. Where has been ganguly'sd contribution

Ganguly Unfit !
by UMASUTARAO C on Sep 23, 2005 07:08 PM

Dear Sir,

Let not Ganguly who has served Indian Cricket well sofar, may withdraw from the Team voluntarily, without making furhter fuss and spoiling the atmosphere. Cahppel, who is not fropm the Country, has no bias or politics except to deliver the goods and he should be equpped well with proper Captain and team to make india win 2007 World Cup.

Ganguly can not claim captaincy post as a right
by J.Padmanabhan on Sep 23, 2005 07:05 PM

It is time the Board and Ganguly must realize that the Game is greater than anyone. Atlast we have a Coach who is not afraid to point out weakness in any player, be it a senior or junior, apply the same yardstick to every one. Indian Cricketers are highly paid, they must realize the only way to reatain them in eleven to show ability and consitant.
Board must side with the Coach and remove Ganguly from the Captaincy post .

GANGULY UNFIT TO LEAD
by NRMOULI on Sep 23, 2005 06:54 PM

We Indians at times, need a foreign subject to inform us about some naked truths & stark realities... All Indians at this hour probably are feeling that finally we can see someone spoke the truth....

For some months we have been seeing the fall, the steep fall in the standards and also the basic discipline to be followed by captain of an Indian Team, which is watched by a billion eyes ( I am taking only half of India's population....) ....

Everyone needs to be disciplined ... More so the one , for whom so called success which has gone to his head... After all, it is the team... & Many great players it can boast of in its composition...

Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Kumble, PAthan, Harbhajan. Kaif and of corse Gangly in patches contributed heavily for the batting / Bowling strength based on which the SUCCESS came...

Please study the case, Give an oopportunity to the

culprit.. But take decision ... A Realistic and HArsh

decision .. If CRICKET has to be Number one money spinner..

Already cricketeers lost the popularity rankings .. Let it not go down just for the sake of ONE Person... MOULI

Ganguly & Chappell
by Sushil Pugalia on Sep 23, 2005 06:51 PM

It is very high time that cricket players are paid as per performance only. If found unfit, he should be asked to sit on bench. What most of the players wants to be in the team so that their commercial rate goes up. They have plenty time to shoot but do not find time to be fit for game. The past captain also had the same problem. No surprise, if one day current players are found to be indulged in match fixing. How you can explain that India comes in final with all oddes but loose in final? After all they are not toddlers.

Australian players never do such things and want to play the game to the extend of their capability.
