Capt S.K.Bararia
Blessing
by Capt S.K.Bararia on Sep 23, 2005 03:58 PM

Dalmia's blessing has helped Ganguly to be in the team for so long.At present he does not possess the right technique & tempement to play at the International level.Due to him a talented player like Kaif is not playing in the first eleven. If the board wants the Indian team to do well then right away players should be banned in appearing in commerical slots and big companys not to be allowed to use a players name for branding their product. At present players in the team are only interested in making money and r not playing for the country.Mr Chappell should be given a free hand including selection of the team and the Board should not interfere except administrative matters.Players like Ganguly should be immediately shown the exit door.If the team does not possess the required fitness of International level then the player should be handed over to Commando wing(Indian Army) at Belgaum for giving them fitness training.

I totally agree with the view from Chappell. It is better for indian team sooner Ganguly quits and takes rest instead of being an embarassment.

ganguly / chappell controversy
by nikhil on Sep 23, 2005 03:57 PM

This is the most unfortunate thing that could happen to indian cricket. how can a tem perform when two guys leading them are at loggerheads. it makes the efforts of indian team in zimbabwe more commendable. these bigboys should understand there is nothing bigger than team and they are there because of the team. high time to grow up ! or it may be too late for both of them.

Under the guidence of Chappell India is going to have a tough time till 2007. Don't think by removing Ganguly the issue would get sorted. Next it would be the turn of Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman, Zaher Khan and Shewag.I sure these guys too can fit into Chappell's so called PARAMETERS. The only members who could fit into Chappel's paramter are Kaif,Yavraj and Dhoni. And with fresh blood in the team, India can no way reach to the 2nd round in 2007 world cup. Chappell is trying to built Rome in a Day. The board should have selected Chappell for National Cricket Academy, where he can groam the future cricketers. We have only a year left before the 2007 world cup starts and I don't see why Ganguly doesn't fit in the India team.

The answer from Ganguly to Harsha's question was "YES I WAS ASKED TO STEP DOWN" on being asked by Harsha if Ganguly was asked to step down from captaincy...Why would Harsha point that question to Ganguly? B'cos Harsha might have got some info from the dressing room..then who is the CULPRIT....

And Can we conclude that the followings can be derive from the above quote from Ganguly "YES I

Ganguly must go
by Puneet on Sep 23, 2005 03:42 PM

Its clear that Ganguly is an eye-sore for the Indian team now. Not only because of non-performance, there are other good reason which straight forwardly demand for his resignation (or simply to be thrown out). His attitude and his ways of retaining captaincy are simply causing more and more pain to Indian cricket which is perishing becuase of numerous reasons, the primary being our captain himself.
