4-0
by Makya on Aug 23, 2011 09:04 AM

This year-end, another 4-0 whitewash is awaited for Indians down under. Aussies will whip asses of these Dhoni's men in MCG, SCG, WACA & Adlaide Oval.

Why you are barking only about Sachin, entire Dhoni & Co. have surrendered to England.

Worst performance by India after 1991-92 & 1999-00 Australian series.

LOL, i guess captain's "cool" factor made a difference here..... Ganguly is right when he says that after 1999, this is the worst cricket india has played..... i think Gary Kirsten made all the difference to our team.

yes this was one of our worst tours. but with all our players mentally and physically tired with constant cricket and with our main and best batsmen and bowlers (sehwag, gambhir, zaheer, bhajji) unfit we should not reach too much into this loss...

Ya, we should not worry much. It is the playing 11 who have to worry about it.

Two reasons behind defeat
by Sebastian Cherukanam on Aug 23, 2011 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

1. Absence of a couple of quality bowlers who can trouble batsmen in England pitches. Though England’s batsmen scored runs, it was their bowlers who actually won matches for England.

2. The climate in England. It is not easy for human beings to go to a different region and perform the same way they perform in their region. Actually this very climate condition is the reason for our bowlers failed to live upto the expectation. If Indian bowlers had performed well, England wouldn't have scored runs the way they did in this series.

Commenting on this forum is very easy but for sports persons, performing extremely well everywhere in the world is very tough and therefore, leave them.

this test series, not much fight shown. Had Dravid flopped in this series, all tests would have been lost by an innings.

Raina, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Sreesanth, RP Singh are not suitable for Test Cricket. Need to kick these flop players out of Test squad.

Good point. Before the series began, THIS was supposed to be their real test, and they were supposed to be beaten black and blue for the arrogance shown by Darren Gough (remember his "this English team can beat India every day of the year?") on which there was exactly the same brou-ha-ha as being demonstrated by you... :)

yeah, the typical indian is a brash individual. Not sure where the overconfidence , arrogance stems from

A little bit of success and it goes to our heads

Ya, maybe Dhoni serves drinks well. Only thing left to prove is that captaincy can be done well sitting in the pavilion. Else, he is as dead as a dodo.

What a captain!
by Jai Ho on Aug 23, 2011 08:36 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is a good captain, agreed. But not one word of praise for Dravid? Or are those niceties reserved for the likes of Suresh Raina? Just confirms Dhoni's negative bias against those from the south of the Vindhyas.
