If we want to blaim any body for this humilating loss then answer is BCCI.It is very intresting that while playing IPL none of the pleyers were injured & when time comes to play for ur country then suddenly everybody is either injuerd or need rest Now its time for BCCI to think wether they want money or they want country to perform well

Now folks get ready to Championship League -IPL , go to all matches , watch TV so that brand ambassadors can mint . We enjoy being trhilled in to short term stupid acts. You want to India to be great sporting nation - first put cricket in its right place .Today it is business for all BCCI ,Players and Marketing companies with single objective of Profiteering mind you not profit . See the officials in BCCI all are politicians - against whom the whole nation is fighting for its corruption and looting.
He may not believe in surrendering his job But he is unfit to continue in his position either as captain/keeper/batsman in the team in any manner along with his buddies Raina,Praveen,Yuvi & all those players who can bowl/or bat in INDIAn pitches only.

I donot blame any player.Greed for money combined with partiality of selection of BCCI are responsible for this debacle.BCCI is solely responsible for this series defeat.

Till now Dhoni is good captain. How come BCCI now responsible ? Why Dhoni played/agreed with so many injured players while players like Vijay,Badri,Pujara,Rohit,Ashwin Karthik were not given any/proper chance. What is the need to play injured Gambir in last test while Mukund is available? Why Raina was given chance even when the whole world knows he can't play fast bowling & have weak ness against raising deliveries ?

You are right, I believe, series defining moment was in second test, when dravid was batting and we had overtaken england's total, If some body had given company to dravid, we would have taken big lead and then things would have been different. At this time, dhoni instead of hanging around, flashes for a out side off stumpt delivery and then gets out. This is a huge blunder and dhoni himself is responsible for the debacle.

I have never seen for any selection comitte to include so many injured players just because of their name.
Name and fame does not work in sports. FItness needed for any sportsmen.
We often complain that many of our players in the cricket team play for individual records. Then why not let our youth concentrate on individual games so that they can make individual records and win gold medal in olympics !
Let us forget cricket for the time being and concentrate our focus on the preparations for London olympic 2012.Media needs to expose the facts on preparation of our sportsmen for London 2012.
This humiliating defeat was expected considering the way cricketers are made to play like daily labourers.Their mental and physical strength and eagerness are extracted out by BCCI to the fullest extent how a man's stamina is extracted out if he has several girl friends. They have no strength inside, finished !After all they are also human being.
Dhoni and Tendulkar's minds are also pre-occupied with the performance of CSK and MI in CL20 to be held in September as Ambani and Srinivasan has great financial stake. The skippers must be under great pressure.England series was just an distraction for them from their 20-20 focus. As usual the effort is on where the money is.BCCI has totally destroyed the romantic beauty of performance in test cricket by producing instant call girls like the IPL...good for the moment, bad for health, even you can get AIDS if you are not careful !
This was on the cards as our bench strength is very fragile. Look at the fall back options, we had in the series, Zaheer got injured and RP came in his place, who bowl spin with a fast bowler run up. Mithun runs like a fast bowler but bowls like Mohinder Amanath.
now india should invite england to play in india and jst watch their strenght how they handle d pressure.evry 1 is a lke lion in their home,i don't blve england will capable to maintain their no.1 test status, jst thier gud luck with them,i guarantee not mre thn one yer thy wl remn on top.

I too agree. They will never succeed in subcontinent pitches. Aussies dominated everyone because they had ShaneWarne and Mcgrath who can take wickets on any pitches. Same cannot be said about Anderson, Broad etc. Swan is good but no way close to warnie.
The importance of the India-England series was too much. The number one ranking was on the line and the selectors felt that both gambhir and sehwag with be in sync.
With little practice, Shewag starts with a golden pair of ducks. This shatters the Indian middle order where it continues to climb uphill.
The mukund-murali pair was the best available at the top order and it seemed like confidence was low since Mukund also picked up a golden duck.
With poor or average starts over the last 7 Tests matches, the aged middle order could not hold on and add Raina to this problem and we have a batting side that could average only 250 or 300 runs per innings, not enough to beat a very good English side.
I think, it was going to be difficult even if gambhir and Sehwag had fired because ours bowlers did not have the zip Zaheer provided.
Inspite of injuries to Gambhir, Shewag and Zaheer, they still are at a level that cannot be replaced.

If we have to face tis kind of humiliting defaet with the so-called best batting line up in the world, I think it is much better to face the same with a new look teram minus the veterans at least we can say , it is a learning phase. what has happened does not offer any excuse at all, if naybody it is the senior brigade needs to reply and act by voluntarily make room for the new and the fresh blood eagerly awaiting to take up the place., enough is enough. ur times r surely over long back. call it quits before u r asked to do . it is only days or months as u dont have much time to do that.

U have at least 5 clear most important positions which need to be vacated, their times r up and even their role as seniors to not only deliver but even guide the juniors r also past, they have done is that they have exposed the whole team and broken confidence of the juniors by meekly surrendering themselves.

Forget about seniors retiring, let the youngsters fill the two vacant spots already there in the team. Look at the plight of suresh raina. After such a beautiful partnership between sachin and mishra, there was clearly a chance to draw, but raina spoiled it all. So let the juniors fill these spots properly. then the seniors will definately retire. Regarding chances, how chances do you need for raina, vijay and mukund.
