vinay kumar? comeon guys how can he be included when he does not possess the fast bowler pyhsique and considering his pace is much slower than praveen. we need tall, stout bowlers who can clock 135mph and at the same time bowl good length deliveries that has seam, bounce, pace, swing

I agree, Vinay kumar is too slow. Praveen kumar wil be handy in helpful conditions but on flat pitches, he will be easy meat as he does not have variations. But unfortunately we do not have option.

Then don't surrender on the field ...
by Arv Singh on Aug 23, 2011 02:35 AM  | Hide replies

If you didn't surrender in the field, then there would be no one asking you to quit your job.

In this series, you have insulted your senior player Harbhajan and his dead father in an ad, you have failed to nurture young players like Raina, Ishant, and Mishra, and you have shown poor leadership skills.

Your own performance as wicketkeeper is shabby. Your team selection, bowling changes, and field placement is below par.

Now, it is upto you to decide if you are going to belt-up and do something about it or not. Focus on your job and lead the team - have respect for the seniors and encourage the youngsters.

If you failed to make it "large", you won't have the option to surrender - instead you will be fired!!!

LUCK, - 'on which Dhoni has been riding the crest of a wave'- has deserted him simply.

I mean : "Most teams that had their great players retiring at one go & hence in the process of developing a flegling agglomeration have been facing a well established team under Dhoni (Ganguly's gift to Dhoni!!!) on whom luck smiled all the way/while getting him the tag 'CAPTAIN COOL' - misnomer."

This is what has been happening to Dhoni all the while, although I am not a Dhoni hater.

WC semi-finals Aussies could have folded India up from 187 for 5 but for Ponting's indiscretion and complacency. You can make errors but not blunders.

And when the order of things reversed he faces the music.

It won't be a surprise if the moron Srikanth selected his son Aniruda to play for the ODI team this tour. Such is the regional politics taking place currently in the team.

I am not supporting Srikath, but the whole team failed miserably. And the team has players from all the corners of India.

Can't say anything more as I have not followed the series much. Hope team India can bounce back and atleast win the odi series

Reddy:

Apart from Pujara, Rahane, etc. etc. there are eleven thousand other players in India, who obviously cannot be accommodated in the team at once... unless you have some suggestions on creating India A, B, C, D, .... AA,.. XX, ..ZZ,.. ABC, ABD.., ZZXY.. teams... :)

atleast eng had that killer instinct so even after 3-0 win, they werent complacent. unlike ind which is known to win a single test in the series n then go for dull draws for the remaining matches.hats off to eng for this.

fit players
by vinay on Aug 23, 2011 01:48 AM

fit players. players r always fit before start of ipl, but they become sick, tired, unmotivated during national duties. look at gambhir he 'skipped' wi tour.

zaheer is best example he is becoming another nehra unfit during national matches but perfect fit during ipl.

Sachin- should not take the pressure
by cc man on Aug 23, 2011 01:41 AM

The day sachin avoids taking the pressure of making sure the rest of the batting revolve around his innings, it will be good for him and country. He always goes into his shell when its not needed in the first place
