Dhoni let the cat out of the bag when he said that viru and zak's importance to the team forced us to take then even if they were unfit. But they did more harm than good !!!
Also Dhoni implied that we do not have nay worthwhile replacements for them.
Maybe Wasim Jaffer would have been a better choice as he is playing in England for a while in professional leagues.
Also, balaji could have been given a chance as he looked a very improved bowler after his back operation.
India's win at world cup was fluke,they were struggling in preliminary round,but in knockout stages they played their card well and all players clicked at right time and we won the world cup,we found temporary form in that phase not class.
They say that the captain is as good as his team.. However, in this case, the captain doesn't deserve to be in the team at all. Dhoni's a no good cricketer.. He's only been lucky to have a good team who performed inspite of his presence.
High time he be kicked out!! He refuses to hand over the captaincy cause that will directly impact his endorsements!!!!

Issue here is, we would have a home series after the foregin series.
Now nobody will dispute that in home conditions, even Bhajji or Mishra would threaten to score centuries. No talking about the first 7 batsmen including Dhoni.
Then what do you do? You ahve to take them for the next series.
This time around, we are again playing abroad. Dec26 is the first test match versus Aussies in Brisbane.
Any further humiliation would seriously threaten Dhoni's standing/job.
You shouldn't be given an opportunity to resign. You must be kicked out rather. You're on the clock, lets see how long your braindead captaincy last as you as a player is no longer effective.
It's funny how the dead brain, who can't think much, and so just stand their and watch is marketed as 'Captain Cool'...wow

The present Indian Team is least interested in test cricket. They want to play only IPL, 20-20 and one day international games. The reason for Indian cricket team not scoring 300 or above in the last 10 innings is that they are still in the mode of 20-20 format. Look at the way Sehwag,Dhoni,raina,Gambhir got out. When they were needed to stay on the crease they were trying to score runs and win the match instead of saving the match. How long Laxman,dravid and Tendulkar will play test cricket for india. BCCI should immediate take steps for the revival of test cricket and make the players understand that test cricket is the real cricket.

One failure, and all start shouting. It is understandable, because Dhoni and Team India didn't give anyone any opportunity raise a finger. All critics will shut down once India bounces back.

India will bounce back only in 20-20 and one day internationals but not in test crciket coz india does not have match winning bowlers and test cricket is won by bowlers.

Ashish, It's not the failure that matters here. What matters is the way we failed. I mean we were worst then 15th ranked team. There was competition, it was an insult for the nation

how come suresh raina is there in team??? Dhoni should stop using his vito power in order to get his friend selected in the team.
M S Dhoni, The 5 Big Fools and the entire board should quit.They have no moral right to stick to their chairs. Board was always after money and has no value for the Country's image. They just sent players who were unfit.Dhoni for being arrogant and dismal performance and 5 fools for being the biggest idiots. Ravi

A similar sort of situation happened with Sehwag during the T 20 worked cup when he came unfit for the tournament.
Problem is when players get too famous, the board hesitates to talk to them about the real state of their fitness. Same with Zak. If the players are loyal to the fans then then they should be honest about their fitness.
But that aside, we do not have replacements for these players, especially when we play abroad with the kind of technique that is needed to survive there.
