England players opted not to play in IPL/Champions Trophy & look how they reached No.1 spot in Test cricket.

Otherwise, Who will get you the commercials on TVs and other advt contracts? Who will ever consider you for the coveted Indian awards...they dont know that you are also aspiring for Bharat Ratna alonside Sachin (if possible, get it ahead of him!). And who will fit the bill for your 1000 other investments in realestates and hotels etc..

We fully understand that you dont believe in such nonsense like stepping down etc..they are meant for highly emotional souls..not for a cool calculating practical person like you. After all there will always be another series in India where goats like Sehwag, gambhir and Raina will score triple hundreds and you can get all the glory back. Its just a matter of time...the public / press is foolish to call for your head at this hour. Shame on them!

Give India another chance...
by Siva Balakrishnan on Aug 23, 2011 08:22 AM  | Hide replies

It is not England won... India lost the series. We know India is capable of doing a better job. Sometimes inexplicable happens. No need to panic.

Bro "Inexplicable" happens once in a while not 4 test matches * 5 days=20 days (sorry it must be 16 -17 days as India were lost in 4 days in most of the matches)

Because the quality of batsman and experience India has, nobody has. And its not that they travelled for the first time to England. They have been playing for many years now.

we certainly can do better !
by Ashok Gupta on Aug 23, 2011 08:17 AM

Lets not shoot our team for this horrible performance. We all know they are much better than this performance indicates, then wherein lies the reason for this display must be examined. This time around everything bowling, fielding, batting all were pathetic.
I think BCCI and the players became very complacent and arrogant fixing matches one after another after the world cup and IPL and completly forgot that human beings are involved and not cricket machines. Let water flow and all keep quiet and get thoughts in order. One thing is for sure Test cricket is much more demanding than the 20/20 or 50/50 where each bowler only has 5 or 10 overs and batsmen know they too must slog for only
a few overs, we have to be good at test cricket and become mentally tough. A serious re-look at priorities is a must and get back the basics into focus.

PTI - Pathetic Team India
by Inzy Bhai on Aug 23, 2011 08:17 AM

Yesterday during the post match presentation ceremony even Mike Atherton could not hide his chuckle when announcing NPower India Man of the Series. This was just a reflection of what the average viewer feels about pathetic India. As long as we have clowns like N. Srinivasan & Manohar Team India will be in the doldrums. We need an Argus type report on the BCCI revamp which no politician worth his salt will ever attempt. I can foresee a few more such series whippings round the corner which will sink India further into the morass that it already is in. Forget injuries, we were just not prepared.Even Bangladesh did better than us when playing in England. We are now completing the circle of being a PATHETIC NATION with a pathetic social, political, business & sporting class.

IPL completely destroyed Team India
by sravan nayak on Aug 23, 2011 08:15 AM

For this defeat I will blame completely IPL. After the IPL all players are either injured or not rested properly.

As a result Drama in everymatch.Players can't stand on the field for 5days.

No Indian player would take responsibility of such whitewash defeat & stop playing in IPL/Champions Trophy.
