JUSTRICK
by Manoharan on Sep 01, 2013 11:46 AM  | Hide replies

The justice is at times just a trick played by the cream of society. And thus it compels the non-receiver of the justice to take the law in his hands. Then you find him entering the courts & slit the throats of the perverts. Now because of the injustice in the justice system, one innocent had been converted into a killer. Our law makers should ponder over such happenings......

Unfortunately, Ofteb such judgements are based on the skill of the lawyers arguing the case rather than the severity of the crime!

If judiciary is unable to unable to award appropriate punishment to a Juvenile criminal, there should be strict law to punish his/her associate, instigator or atleast his/her parents who brought him/her upto the level to cummit such a crime

Verdict disgusting
by ashok rengasamy on Sep 01, 2013 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

Every human being has an actual age and biological age..If the accused has committed an heinous crime like raping he has attained maturity and hence the actual age should not be taken into account while pronouncing the punishment..

Severity of the crime rather than the age of the criminal should be considered while awarding punishment.

Which world you are living?
This is India. Juvenile Courts are made to protect the interest weaker section of society.
Rapist is Juvenile therefore he is weaker section of society and protected under law.

if you are juvenile you also can rape anyone anytime anywhere..

that's simple.

shame law
by Janpat on Sep 01, 2013 10:43 AM

Today the law is such one cannot correct the child even in schools nor scold them for doing mischief - they are allowed by the law to do wrong and stoop to commit heinious crimes like the rapes law is on their side to give them protection eg. this short sentence in the name of minor will they reform after serving the sentence they are future stooges who will be used by the babus and netas or protect the godmen like the baba re babas who are so much involved in the acts just see how the followers protected them when the same law want to show justice - it is now commit rape in India and them become a minor or if netas comitt offences like Goa dance bar girls case they complain about health and go to hospitals so there are some who are above law or is it law is only for some and others above it

We can't blame the judiciary. Parliament shd change the law
by Ram Sharma on Sep 01, 2013 10:36 AM  | Hide replies

We can't blame the judiciary. They hv to follow the law. The lawmakers shd modify the law and bring down the age to 16 yrs. But will they do so? They'r more concerned to save the criminal MPs & their financial dealings, for which they hv made law bypassing SC judgement in these matters

This sentence is too little & unjustified
by Ram Sharma on Sep 01, 2013 10:29 AM

It is very disgusting that the main culprit will b in jail for 3 yrs only. This boy shd b hanged. How does it matter if he was 6 months short of 18 yr age, when the crime took place. This short of sentence wd encourage boys below 18 yrs to do more such crimes.

This girl too is to blame to some extent because she had no serious business in the night to go out. To some extent parents are also to blame because they allowed her to go out in the night. State cannot give z plus security to everyone and we cannot have four policemen behind every person to protect. It was well known to everyone that delhi is one of the unsafe cities yet she carelessly went out during the night and boraded a private bus in addition to it. It is clear that she had thrown caution to the winds. It is a fact that general public in north indian states like delhi, haryana, punjab, UP, bihar and surrounding areas is rowdy and percentage of decent people is very small in that area. They cannot speak even a single statement without uttering an obscene word, and even women do that without any hesitation, that speaks volumes about their culture and mindset.

be practical man. I am not questioning the right of the girl to see a movie in night. She has every right to do it. She also has the right to roam around the streets in the night all alone. Constitution gives her the right. I am mentioning practical basic wisdom and its application. You see the result now, who has lost what ? That juvenile was seventeen and a half years when he committed crime and is now above 18. He cannot be now put in juvenile home because he is above 18 and he cannot be put in jail or hanged because when he committed crime he was juvenile. This effectively means he is free now. Look at the end result. Where is the public gone now? They are silent. So who lost and who won ? When you know that the society is not safe and law is weak and policiing is not enough, still if you go out and take risk, then you are a fool. That is what I meant. If you walk into a warzone when firing is going on, when you can easily avoid such misadventure, then you are to blame yourself.
