do not blame the judge
by ar on Sep 01, 2013 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

do not blame the judiciary. Law is made by the lawmaker politicians who are elected by the people. Judiciary only interprets the law and gives judgement. Judge has given the maximum sentence permissible under the law applicable and hence we cannot blame the judge. Go to your lawmaker and demand that minimum death penalty is awarded for rape, kidnap, murder and other serious offences and ask them to make a law immediately. It is only then the judge can give death penalty and bring down the juvenile age to 10 years. You elect criminals to the legislature and you blame the judge, it is not right.

you are right our constitution is based on ages old society. need many amendment. But, the problem is when some come forward for change like Anna, Arvind, etc. they hardly get good support. and elected lawmakers who has many criminals too then say we are people's representative. So effectively means lawmakers are saying we are not responsible for you guys who come forward for revolution, we are not your representative. we are public's representative/ then who that public is, the portion of society which is illiterate, which can be fooled easily to get votes, who do not raise their voice against any torture, who can be easily raped. So means for politicians public means what everyone knows.

What law? Everybody knew that the certificate produced to confirm the age of the "juvenile" was fake! Yet the "judiciary" chose to accept that, instead of subjecting him to any scientific tests! Why? Because he belongs to the "minoritymmunity", the vote bank of Kangis!

Sad hearing.....

The so called juvenile's identity must be brought in public and he should be outcast from the society for life with no societal benefits...he should be made to lead a beggars life ......
In today's world youngsters become mature at an very early stage... This we experience and talk about in our groups... The thinking that our generation develops by thirties ... Today's youngsters develop that level of thinking in their fifteens....we all know this but we are oblivious to the situation... There should be a revision in the age limit to be considered as juvenile.....

This whole subject is politicized

agreed but anything is possible with our judicial and political system, when UP govt can question the arrest of IM cheif and start thinking about their vote bank the morality of the people in power is at the lowest point.unless there is a major revolt kuch nahi ho sakta except burning candles at every such incident.

It appears -Vote bank politics would supersede the heinous crime?
by nandiraju srinivasa on Sep 01, 2013 09:17 AM

The guy had tortured the poor soul and is still going scott free. Kudos India. Such people, once returned back to the society, would be committing more crime, and after they grow big they turn sadists and torture some other poor souls. Does the judicial system does not have such a foresight? It is not whether he is is a juvenile or not, the punishment should be based on the crime he has committed. It appears, in India, you may get a child to kill somebody and the child can escape his crime easily, that too done with utmost cruelty. A new movement may be required.
