language
by Bharathi Bhargav on Nov 02, 2009 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

only in mumbai.. local language is suppressed I feel.. elsewhere in India, locals always get edge over from outside state..

Marathi people enjoy fighting with each other, than being together. in south all party people are Tamilian first, and congress, etc later..

Point is, leave language understand each other, be indian..

Of course, indians will never learn..

Blame brahmins, blame sanskrit language, blame intelligence.. good progress..

Hindi people are harassing other Indians by forcing Hindi.

Hindi is created from Urdu language.

People should know that Indian constitution will save Marathi and Marathi people will fight demons who want Hindi to kill Marathi.

is hindi our National Language ?
by nanuyaru on Nov 02, 2009 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

What a joke Mr Azmi is cracking, He is an elected representative and he should know that our Indian constitution does not say anything about National language. What we have is hindi as an offcial Language of central govt. All other states use their state language as official language for local correspondence and English while commuicating to central govt, where as central govt will communicate to all states with Hindi and English.

Please read our constitution first,
www_constitution_org/cons/india/p17343_html
replace _ with .

By the way I am not a Maharastrian/Marathi

Artice 343(1) clearly states that Hindi is the officila language of India. I think this is one and the same thing as saying Hindi to be national language. By the way I am not a Hindi lover but respect it being the official federal language which for all practical purposes is same as national language.

Mother tongue
by someone on Nov 02, 2009 01:41 PM  | Hide replies

It should be made mandatory to each and every one to learn the local language of the state they reside. Teaching institutes should be opened by each state Govt. and who ever migrates and stays in a state should start learning the local language. In schools, irrespective of whether it is CBSC, ICSC run by private or by public/kendria vidyala, should be made to teach local language. Curriculm can be modified to suite the students.

Good!. This is fascism. Even in England they don't force immigrants to lean English. Anti Indians don't have much work at their hands. We are capable, willing and sufficient to dismember our mother land. Hail Raj and Balasaheb!

Why cant English be the uniting Language
by Aditya Venkat on Nov 02, 2009 12:22 PM  | Hide replies

It is a well known fact that English is the most coveted language in the world today, and we are throwing away the advantage we have, especially since it is because of English that Indian excellence in fields of science and technology have been noticed abroad. Even China is unable to match Indian here, and are sending their youngsters abroad to learn english, just to keep Indians in check. With such a situation, our politicians, including Raj Thakray and this anti social creature Azmi should make an attempt to learn English. Otherwise there will be no difference between them and the likes of mulayan and mayawati, who have continously destroyed their state, keeping it backward and illiterate and ensuring their their political legacy remains permanent. For those who scream nationalism, let me say that English is no longer a foreign language, it is as Indian as any other Indian language, and it is the only hope to pull Indians out of their wretched misery. All talk about pseudo nationalism will only help our politician's agenda to keep India a third class nation. Let us move ahead, instead of living in darkness. Learning English and promoting it, does not mean the death knell for any of our existing languages.

Mr venkat ,
Get your facts right , China is way ahead of India in Science and technology and they do everything in China and that is the reason they have made progress and so Indians will remain developing country forever if Indians dont get education in their own language technology
ANd always national Languages should be given more importance as compared to English. Its shame that we are still fighting on these issues

Hindi is just a language spoken by the India's least developed and poor states like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, uttar Pradesh.

English is a natural link language for whole of India and is a passport to economic growtht and to outside world.

Hindi imperialism proposed by Hindi politicians from poor states like Bihar should eliminated at once.

Urdu has created Hindi language, so we don't want to stop speaking our own language to speak Hindi which is based on Urdu language.

There is no such thing called National Language in India.

Every Language is equal according to the Indian constitution.

Hindi people are trying to break the diversity of India

We got to fight against the Hindi Imperialism.

We can't let our Mother Tongue die in the hands of Hindi politicians.

Indian constitution does not allow any language to get superior status or is there any mention of national language.

We need to fight against the Hindi imperialism for the very survival of our Mother Tongue.
