Gnana Rajasekharan is an IAS officee from OBC quota?
by Satya ss on May 02, 2007 10:18 AM  Permalink

Sounds like it..Periyar changed the equation so nicely to < 3% brahmins and >97 % OBC. The author is one of beneficiary of Periyar legacy no wonder he sings his glory. it's ridiculous to dilute quality just to take revenge on brahmin misdoing's in the past. Periyar didnt seem to understand the values of Brahminism, coz he was only 4th standard. Despite it's past deficiency Brahminism has great precedents and an ideal way to live even for non-brahmins.

India is not Yugoslavia for God Sake!!!!!!

To all Brahmin Bashers and Similarly to all SC/ST/OBC Bashers as well as to religion bashers such as Hindu Bashers, Muslims Bashers, Christian Bashers etc. and caste bashers . To all Hindi Speaking Bashers as well as to all Tamil Speaking Bashers as well as to all other regional language speaking bashers
To all religious chauvinists, to all caste chauvinists, to all linguistic chauvinists,to all regional chauvinists.....

STOP BALKANIZATION OF INDIA!!!!!

SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!

This isn't the land of Slobodan Milosovic, don't make it one!!!!

I know some people want to keep on abusing others and want to get away with it and if somehow someone complains then they try to stop him from doing so or shout him down similar to Hitler's SS. It is just one example of the nazification/talibanization/balkanization this country is heading towards.
People here are targeting communities believing what great service they do to their kins not realizing that targeting any community in itself is a great disservice to the country and to their community itself.I don't want my country to have several partitions on communal, casteist and linguistic-regional lines, but with all this going on, I can only look in dismay as to what my country is slowly turning into. A great disservice to the country is being done by this balkanization process and seems loyalties from India have now narrowed down to local affiliations, there seems to be no patriotism left!!!! It just seems to be a Feudal structure waiting to erupt similar to what happened in 47!! Shame on all those who think what great deeds they do by abusing people, those who think that their local loyalties are far greater than this country and that the country can be compromised at any cost to fulfill their wishes and give vent to their prejudices. If you have any sanity left, come to your senses!!!!

Nope I happen to be from India, am an Indian citizen residing in India(to be precise). I don't want my country to turn into Yugoslavia(to be precise). If people act in this manner where community comes first country comes second or perhaps third,it will lead to that(to be precise).I feel dismayed to see this happening(to be precise). Shame on all those who abuse others and for whom community stereotypes and community kinship comes first, nation is nowhere around(to be precise). And I like your songs, they were some real classics(to be precise).take care(to be precise).Bye(to be precise).

This is precisely what I meant

RE:Heredity V/s Environment

why r u having so much venum against brahmins? in some sentences u seem to say that all people r equal and that is true. in this scientific age there is no place for deciding something on the basis of caste or religion. a newly born child does not have any choice and is branded a definite caste and religion. the child does not have any choice. so why there should be any discrimination or differentiation on the basis of caste and religion. whether he is a brahmin, any other upper caste, obc or sc.

The tolerence of Hinduism
by The man on May 02, 2007 09:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The strength of Hinduism is its tolerence. It is the only religion that allows you talk nasty about hinduisn, even though you are a hindu.
If you are a muslim and talk rubbish about allah or a christian talks about jesus, Their life will be terminated within one month.
Periyar, fearing for his life, did not have enough guts to talk about the unacceptable activities in other religion and took advantage of the tolerence of Hinduism.
Lets forgive that old guy and dont waste time in talking about him

Periyar is an oppurtinist - worked with brits on racial ideas
by biz Narayan on May 02, 2007 08:38 AM  Permalink

Periyar follower his masters ideas in dominant racial analysis of those days, his aryan dravidan ideas have caused so much violence that many tamil people are not supporting racial analysis, though DMK types do it.

These Naikars are oppurtinists and stab in your back. Naikar is not from Tamil Nadu.

Too many information missed out in the interview
by rolladesi on May 02, 2007 08:32 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr Gnana Rajsekharan has missed out on many points. He is a genuine film-maker no doubt, but he knows that the topic is too controversial to be filmed. I have few questions:

1. Have you portrayed how and why the DMK leaders split from Periyar? Truth is that they backstabbed him in their pursuit for power.

2. Isn't it true that nobody was ready to finance the movie because many senior DMK leaders are still alive and there are many skeletons in the cupboard that cannot be exposed

3. Isn't it true that DMK did not want to finance the movie initially, but when they heard that it was close to becoming a reality, they were forced to step in and finance so that the "wrong" version would be portrayed on screen?

4. How true have you been to Periyar's role in Congress and his participation in Satyagraha etc. Congress leaders and Periyar's descendents have already raised a complaint against it?
I think DMK financing this movie is like BJP/RSS financing a movie on Mahatma Gandhi!

This Periyar guy was an oppurtinist, a hate mongerer who found british as his ideal partners. Why would DMK not pursuit power when that is all exists ? Why not get the DMK power to somebody more oppurtinistic than DMK. Just that you got to do something about their propaganda channels. *English* channels... Karuna dear would find it hard when he is blasted away in english.

From what i have read abt periyar is he was an ambitious man. But alas he couldnot study beyond 4th std.as the rigours and discipline enforced in schools those days were against the very grain of the then EVR who was flambouyant and flashy with wealth to flounder.J.Nehru too was flashy and flambouyant but he completed his law studies abroad and a typical Englishman way was in manners and etiquettes so much so his wife(Kamla) and inlaws(learned Kashimiri pundits) too felt outofplace in Motilal and son's Allahabad bungalow!EVR was quick to grasp caste divide prevalent in his time in society and realise his ambition of leadership by pitting 97% against 3% precisely followed by political masters now in UP and adj belt!Needless to say he proved the old English adage 'Politics is the last resort of*********

Why talk about Caste and Religion in this Global world
by RamaKrishna Dhullipalla on May 02, 2007 07:57 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Brahmins stopped dominating the Caste system a long time before. Because of the wrong leaders who were existing at the time of Independence this system is crossing its limits and is causing disturbances between different castes. Caste system is a developed for a civilized form of living in the ancient Hindu society. It is mentioned that castes were created by God and Human will fall into respective caste as per their deeds. We know many people like Valmiki, Vyas, Viswamitra, Vasista who became Brahmins by their deeds. In this Global world we should call Einstien, Edison, Bill Gates etc as Brahmin if that is the name for a superior human.
The biggest evil ever existed on this earth is Religion and caste which is transforming human into some other new species . That new species cant compete, cant luv fellow humans from other castes , want reservations for generations as if they were physically and mentally handicapped, form political parties based on their caste...dont know till what extent it will go. If the meaning of development is the increase in more number of beter humans definitely our country is underdeveloped than Somalia and other African countries because of this caste system.
