I know some people want to keep on abusing others and want to get away with it and if somehow someone complains then they try to stop him from doing so or shout him down similar to Hitler's SS. It is just one example of the nazification/talibanization/balkanization this country is heading towards. People here are targeting communities believing what great service they do to their kins not realizing that targeting any community in itself is a great disservice to the country and to their community itself.I don't want my country to have several partitions on communal,casteist and linguistic-regional lines, but with all this going on, I can only look in dismay as to what my country is slowly turning into. A great disservice to the country is being done by this balkanization process and seems loyalties from India have now narrowed down to local affiliations,there seems to be no patriotism left!!!! It just seems to be a Feudal structure waiting to erupt similar to what happened in 47!! Shame on all those who think what great deeds they do by abusing people, those who think that their local loyalties are far greater than this country and that the country can be compromised at any cost to fulfill their wishes and give vent to their prejudices.If you have any sanity left, come to your senses!!!!

You said that it was Rajaji's Govt. had done all the Social Reforms. Fool, first read the History. It was only PT. Rajan's Govt. between 1932-37 had done most of the Social Reforms like, Widow Remarriage, Devadasi Aboloshment Scheme, Reservation of Scheduled Castes and what not.
in 1936, when there was a discussion in assembly, The Rajaji and Sathiamoorthy were against the abolishment of Devadasi Bill and they advocated for the Pro-Devadasi systems. They said it is a custom of the land and also told that those Devadasis are doing the Sacred Service. Then the then Social Welfare Minister, Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy, had replied that she did not have any objections to Sathisamurthy's comments as long as their community Women take and resume that profession. Then those two just shut their Mouth and others.
You said that Rajaji had advocated education for bacwards. Yes. Rajaji had introducted the "Kula Kalvi Systems" which advocates that all the people should only do what their father and their ansestors were doing. That means that Son of a Scavanger can't and should not be allowed to comeout and proceed with decent profession and livelihood.
I am also a Forward Caste Hindu Only. Pl. do not sling mud on the Legend like Periar. If not Periar, our State would have turned out to be another state like UP and Bihar.
Father Periyar looks very much like a Christian Missionary. William Dalrymple in his Last Mughal novel exposed the missionaries role with the East India Company to put down the 1857 mutiny. No Indian author or historian took pains to translate this archives. WDalrymple took pains and exposed this in " The Last Mughal" . Like this there may be archives , where this Father Periyar must have conspired with the missionaries to do this nonsense. The title must have been given by a missionary. One day another writer from United Kingdom will write about this. Till that time , our so called Sickular scholars will be hibernating their toad like intellect in whimsical and putrid history.

also Periyar was a rich upper caste Naidu whereas Ambedkar was a poor dalit. It is like comparing a diamond with a stone.

Yes PS, Ambedkar was very dignified and polished compared to Periyar. He educated himself and then proved himself in a scholarly way. whereas One need not describe Periyar's methods. It is self explanatory. Surely Ambedkar is a Jewel among the reformers.

To the beneficiaries of freebies he is a Periyar, but for all others whose life was mde hell by him he is not even a CHIRIYAR
followes hate caste system and hate brahmins who they believe exploited the rest of Hindus which in itself is simplistic bullshit worthy of KG students. Yet they dont have the guts to move out of Hinduism. They want to remain in it and criticize. Circular logic really.
