They amass a lot of black money but can not enjoy it in OPEN.

So they want Higher Salary.

As such IAS officers who can help set up efficient and strong administration is often seen licking the shoes of TIHAR Jail Returned Indian Politicians.

What else you can ask for in life
by avinash kanodia on Oct 11, 2007 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

Its simple. A babu wants to grab everything. He has power, position, black money, comfort, security and most luxuries that anybody could only dream. Now they want the things that they dont have, i.e. white money. Just imagine, if they get that too, can you possibly imagine what other luxury they can even ask for? Perhaps chicks and hotel rooms also made available by the govt rather than businessmen!!!

Will there be any performance review as that is done in private sector..
by Sam T on Oct 11, 2007 04:44 PM

No.. not at all

how can you think of measuring the performance of babus...or any government employees.. they think they are hired for life with salary guarantee..

you cannot punish them, you cannot lay them off even if they caught red-handed..

they are part of Union%u2026 don%u2019t even think of touching them..

This is funny

Stop being corrupt!!
by Sumit Budhiraja on Oct 11, 2007 04:37 PM  | Hide replies

Hey I am ready to support these demands, from good for nothing IAS officers, if they promise that they will not misuse there position and will not make money under the table. If they are ready to do that then I think its a good idea. Not only that but they should also promise that they will do their work with dedication and honesty.

I believe the root cause for our country not been able to develop is corrupt babus/ministers. Actually any form of corruption. Trust me, I have seen places where there is no or minimal corruption and its much better.

First thing we have to ask ourselves is who is corrupt?.I say we all are equally corrupted, As whenever we gets to do it, while paying taxpaying electricity bill, buying any product from gray market, give 50Rs to police if he u catch u without liquescence etc etc. see the thing is we have to change ourselves first and then ask other to do. If stop paying money for getting ur work done out of term than all this corruption will go off. All government officials have to do ur job and nobody can denied it, so why we are paying for that? Just to get work fast and he will favor u, that%u2019s it.IF we decide not to do that whole county will be corruption free

And they will be dismissed from job whenever they are found indulging in any corrupt or doing something against the organisation. Also the salary should be fixed on their performace as it is done in private organisation. Will they agree to this.
