Dravid is a class player for sure...but the stats are prodced here ina an infactual way to belittle the player sachin. Sachin scored 2500 odd runs in 45 matches in world cup with 6 centuries, Dravid scored only 800 odd runs in 22 matches in teh world cup with 2 centuries( that is a big difference as good as daylight)..maybe someone needs a good reading glass!
Test stats: -------------- Dravid at home: 51; away matches: 53 Sachin st home: 56; away matches: 55 and how do u say sachin fared less than dravid. It is true that sachin did score less than usual in last few innings..but that does not make sachin any lesser to anyone else. u gys are all venting your displeasure of not having your way in teh social media! sad that rediff supports it.
Batting by position: Dravid batted in 6 positions(60 innings) Sachin in 5 positions(52 innings) sachin too has batted in different positions and as low as 7th as much as Dravid has!
By innings: first: Dravid-57; Sachin-68 second: Dravid-61; Sachin-57 Third: Dravid-43; Sachin-48 fourth: Dravid-40; Sachin-38 Dravid averages 4% & 2% extra in the second & fourth innings while sachin averages 11% & 5% more in the first and third innings. What does that make of Sachin to the author?
Man of the match: Sachin and Dravid has an equal 14 MOM awards in Tests.
On Chasing scores in Test: 28 centuries-Ponting-average = 178.56. 20 centuries-Sachin-average-224.07.(5th on the list) No Dravid in top 10.And it is clear why the authordoesn
This article is such a disgrace to both Sachin and Dravid. the writer doesn't seem to be a true fan of the game and just wants publicity by giving contra arguments... if u are an ardent fan of the Indian team and cricket as a game, you would have realised that there is no comparision between these two behemoths of crickets...
At last, he made his 100, something to cheer for his supporters. Let it be against flat pitch against Bangladesh.
Anyway, now everyone is tired of him but for the sake of his 100th 100, even the selectors had to arrange matches in Bangladesh. So good for him and his supporters. Now, he should retire gracefully.
He has collected lot of the garbage called records with little value to Indian team.

He had to play till 45th over & play around 140 deliveries to make his 100. Last few overs he scored 1 run per over against Banga bowlers to make this futile record.

One of the comments is "Will the BCCI return this gesture and invite Bangladesh for a Test series?"

Mr. Pink Farter, This is his first century against Bangladesh. Dont bark like he made all his centuries against minnows.
what a shyt show. 137 deliveries for his 99 to get to a hundred that no one except his fans care about. if bangla chase down this total, i would blame it all on one person.

then why don't you blame all of indian losses on dravid instead?? His strike rate is 42 in tests and 71 in ODIs. And guess what sachin did this only for one innings. But you people have this crap in your mind..Shame!!!

even if he dint score a century , u would blame it on only that 'one person'. If it was that easy why dint other players score a century today or score runs freely?
