I think there is ome 50 50 patrnership between sachin and vengsarkar in every match that sachin is playing. So vengsarkar advice sachin not to retire and how he can say that is purely his decision when he want to retire. purely rubbish by vengsarkar . BCCI and the Selector will decide and sachin is not beyond that authority. I wouldhave given vengsarkar a tigth slap on his face as he as destruy the careier of kaif.

Did really Kaif (the way he played) needed somebody else to destroy his career?
Definitely no need to retire but there should be a benchmark on each dept(bowling, batting and fielding). when the performance goes down they have to make way for others and come back after performing well in domestic tournaments. That way, only the best would survive all the time like in other sports. It is definitely not acceptable to lose series after series.

Kapil Dev lost all the respect by pointing a finger towards a player like Sachin Tendulkar. In any given series, Sachin is the only highest scorer and you can also take the example of the Test series and also this one day triseries.
Why he does not want Dhoni out, Sehwag out, why not Suresh Raina out, why not Rohit Sharma out ????
We need players who can bring name to our country and not those want go go carting instead of practice.
Sachin has brought so much name to the country time and again and the world applauds his presence in the ground and people like Kapil Dev does not respect a genius. Shame on him.

Someone of the stature of Dilip Vengsarkar telling that Sachin is is an insult to all up-and-coming players. Of course, Vengsarkar's fitness like many of his ilk were quite ordinary. So according to his standard Sachin is as fit as he (Vengsarkar) was during his playing days.
Sachin should take retirement as soon as possible because we need younger blood to compete in the 2015 world cup . Vengsarkar should keep his advise with him as he is no longer a part of the selection committee. There are so many talented youngters like ajinkye rahane , mohammed kaif , wasim jaffer , manish pandey. Vengsarkar is alone responsible for Kaif future failure as he was the selector of the Indian Team.In my sachin should retire as soon as possible .
