Pathetic excuses
by KALYAN MITRA on Feb 23, 2012 10:26 PM  | Hide replies

What a comment....did we find any replacement of Kapil Dev so far, so by that logic Kapil Dev should be playing now....

Not only Sachin, Dhoni also should be replaced by Saha or Partibh Patel. And why Manoj Tiwary is not playing, Indian captain only doing favourism...

Kapil dragged enough himself before retiring just to complete his milestone.Sachin is not dragging but is performing well compared to other junkies.RESPECT the master. He knows Cricket better than anyone on planet.

Sachin performing well? Mate what is his performance in the recent past? Sachin is wonderful cricketer and good human being too, but being a mortal, he cant play forever, we need to appreciate that without being emotional.

Nobody is indispensable
by Pramod Sharma on Feb 23, 2012 10:21 PM

Let Tendulkar retire or make him quit; the replacement would be found in no time. Do not make the mistake of believing that he is indispensable. The problem is neither he nor the selectors have the courage to say goodbye.

SOME FACTS FOR Mr VENGSARKAR TO THINK
by manoj pillai on Feb 23, 2012 10:21 PM

(1) INDIA WON T-20 WORLD CUP WITHOUT SACHIN DRAVID, LAXMAN, GANGULY
(2)MUMBAI INDIANS WON T-20 CHAMPIONS TROPHY WITHOUT SACHIN
(3)WORLD CUP WAS WON DUE TO EXCELLENT CONSISTENT PEFORMANCE OF YUVRAJ AND TEAM UNITY AND THE INDIAN COACH KIRSTEN'S SUBTLE WAY OF COACHING WITHOUT BRUISING THE BIG EGOS OF SO CALLED SUPERSTARS
NOW PLEASE TELL Mr VENGSARKAR HEAVENS ARE NOT GOING TO FALL. THE STAR IS BLOCKING THE PLACE OF DESERVING

Trust the mumbai boys club to support each other. It is abundantly clear to all that all three, Sachin, dravid and Laxman should retire but they shamelessly continue. Vengsarkar has different benchmarks on class when it comes to Sachin as against dravid, lax man and Ganguly. Time to kick all three out of the team like the australians did to Ponting for ODIs and had warned that his place on test side was on questionable - the reaction, Ponting pulled up his socks and scored in the series against India. We dont need Vengsarkar to advice Kapil!

To quit or not

If Sachin's presence in the dressing room can inspire youngsters (new-comers) , why not make Sachin Tendulkar non-playing captain for ever.

Bcoz Dhoni, a non-playing captain is already there in the team. So Sachin should be playing in the team and inspire the youngsters in the dressing room.

Dhoni can change the course of the match on his own. Sachin cant do that. Gone are day of Sachin. Dhoni for now is good, Might not be the same when he is 39

CAPTAIN

Sachin should be selected as captain to resist present debacle of Indian cricket team. He is the only man available at present who will be able to return back the harmony of Indian team since he is the most senior and respected player among all.

Nonsense! Why Put undue Pressue on Legend Sachin who has Made Fans Happy for 20 years! Can any one explain why Sehwag is retained in the ODI team though his performance has been dismal and if ehwag was playing for australia or england or sout africa, he would have been kicked out long ago! Sachin has played so many wonderful innings earlier and made us win ODI matches too, but if his bad form continues, he should give way for younger promising young players too. Time for Dravid and Laxman to call it a day and BCCI must give a farewell tests to both Dravid and laxman and Sachin sooner or later before they degrade themselves in the cricket pitches in future matches. In the interest of nation and in interest of saving millions of work hours every year in a poor country like ours, TEST macthes MUST BE BANNED Forever and WE MUST refuse to play time-wasting poverty-producing TEST macthes in India as well as Abroad and WE MUST announce that ONLY One day matches and T20 matches WILL be played by us ONLY during week-ends or Holidays in future too, in interest of our poor nation whcih as wasted billions of work hours during the past 60 years and more as wished or desired by the british colonizers who imported this game to our country to make lazy&morrons forever and to make us poor forever too.

The mumbai fellows like gavaskar & vengsarkar wanted to protect Sachin inspite his bad performance downunder series. They already started lobbying for his stay in the team. If people and media feel that Dravid and Laxman need to go, why not Sachin.

Look at Australia. Ponting did well in the test series and they retained him. One day he fared badly and they removed him.

Let us build professional team, even if it means bringing young people with inexperience. Old guards have leave the place for young aspirants rather than blocking their chances. People like Vengsarkar, Gawaskar, Ravi Sastri should be asked to shutup.

Why not? If you are performing vacate the place. Forget about 100th 100. Bradman scored 6996, 4 runs shot of 7000. But retired and people still consider him leged. Sachin is good for his records. But should not be wasting his time and block some other aspirants place for the sake of another century.

sachin was never a great player when it comes to difficult time....his records have come more in 1st inning and in 2nd inning only when targets to chase is very less
