i agree he hasn't performed to his potential in the last 10 tests or so.but he has played more cricket and thinks about the game much more than any of the guys who booed him at the wankhede,to realise dat.wen u play well every one applauds ur game and shower blessings on u.ya,as a player u need that love from the people.but i think u need it more wen u r not doing well.u need that feeling that u have got the faith and support of the entire country during these testing times.dats where d mumbai crowd failed. wen this happened at eden gardens,u could still accept dat,coz whole calcutta was in rage over d ganguly affair.but wen d people of ur own state do dat,it must hv been shattering for sachin. dats no way to deal with a sportsman who has served his country with full dedication and honesty.
Sachin has always had a problem in tight situations, and lets accept it mentally he is not as tough.
But there is an aspect of sachin that people seem to forget, that he never was an defensive batsman.He was always out there to dominate.Now bowlers have started to dominate him because he has started to play according to team weakness. As we have lost all senior players, he has to shoulder that resposiblity too with Dravid.The situation has heights where we are with a bunch of Juniors who have the right to fail, and a set of seniors who have no right to fail. So tension, that was not necessary is prevelant in the dressing room. We have a selection Policy in Test match, where a player is decided first on his feilding capablity and not on his Batting capablity. Hey we are talking test cricket and not one day..
If someone has to take the blame for the failure of Indian team in the Mumbai test, It is the think tank who decided the team combination, reading the pitch wrong, putting the wroong players in, seleting the wrong players, and forgetting seniority and experience helps in match situations,Wrong feilders in wrong positions, an finally not understanding Indian mentality.
