The Indian test team boasts of all great batsmen like Sehwag,Dravid,Sachin,Laxman,Yuvraj but execpt for dravid none these today have the ability or quality to be test batsmen.
Sehwag--weak against the short pitch stuff
weak against the swinging stuff
poor fitness
lacks application
Sachin--has a negative mindset
poor fitness
lacks application
not as good against spin as he was 5 yrs ago
Laxman--Poor fitness
not athletic
has not given a match winning performance for long time now
weak against the swinging ball
Yuvraj-- poor against spin
almost every inngs edges one to the 3rdslip
lacks application
Now lets look at great bowlers Kumble, harbajan,Pathan , other tahn kumble the other two were useless in the last test series.
Then comes the super star keeper dhoni, man where has he lost his senses and his keeping skills.
so to conclude we need big cahnges in the test team i would suggest the following team for the next test series
Sachin Tendulkar is not only a good player but he is also one of the best human being. You have to bat for 90 overs, say 10 hours, and how much does it take for a batsman to get out, a split of a second,is it really their fault if they get out early? We should learn to respect someone for what they are and not for what they do, always.Indian team is one of the best in World cricket, today.
In dia had the highest chances of winning the 3rd test against Englad.Taking field could be teams disition and has nothing to do with losing. India does not cultivate finishing spirit. However in the second Innings, India should go for the winning runs with normal and natural play. If you defend extremly you will lose.(saw South Africa win Ausies in the one dayer.
I have lot of respect for Rediff.com. Please do not publish such a cheap article and lose ur respect. Tendulkar is always the BEST in the World. Please don't insult the game of cricket and also the living legend of India.
Please remove this crap article from the site. Its a request. But if u don't remove this kind of a crap article, I am sure u would be losing millions of visitorss. Till today, I am a regular visitor of rediff site. But really such a stupid article published in a forum like rediff make me wonder whether it is necessary for me to browse such a site.
Bombay crowd unlike the Calcutta crowd was not parochial. Ganguly too was a big flop and the Caluctta crowd unashamedly supported him just because he was a bengali. None has behaved so parochially like the people of Bengal. Their behaviour compares with that of Tamilians who are said to be the most parochial in the country. Even they have not taken to streets when their players were dropped unceremoniously.
