According to me dravid is not the right choice because he is a brilliant batsman.and he caunt be a captain. because he didnot had any experience about captainship.
Well, the dare-devil Ganguly is out and now we have the Kool-wall Dravid as our new captain. Is he the rite choice? Brain says NO, it should have been a young chap like Kaif or Veeru \\\'cos we are aiming at 2007 world cup. Heart says NO, our most successful captain should have been given more chances to prove the mettle of the Team India that he nurtured for a long time. Will Greg be happy now? YES, \\\'cos he\\\'ll get an obedient executioner in the form of Dravid. Is the team India going to be happy? Tuff to say, \\\'cos none of us know what kinda politics is prevailing there. But all the best wishes to Dravid and the team. Hope the people will finally stop crying for Ganguly\\\'s blood. You can already see it out there in the middle. Our most successful Leader deserves some peace of mind folks... I promise, he\\\'ll be back for Team India!
Dravid is better choice in our cricket team. Because Dravid is better than Ganguly in all ways(as Player & Leader). After long time, Indian Cricket Board & Selecters make a Good Decision. I pray to God in our Team, make a Good Victory for comming series.
It is undoubtedly a very positive step taken by selectors. A person, whether he is a captain or an ordinary player, should be selected on the basis of current form and performance. Of course, the senior players should be given more chances to regain their form but the number of these chances cannot be "infinite" and this is the case with Ganguly. I think the time has come for ganguly to prove himself as a player because had Ganguly not been the captain of the side, he would have been left out of the team even six months back. Dravid, on the other hand, has been consistent enough to lead the side with a high morale. Greg Chappel is also a man of ethics and that should match constructively in order to form the team for a greater success not only in World Cup 2007 but also in the series coming in the duration of one and half years. In fact, Ganguly can be given the captaincy of test team. But he is definitely no longer worth playing in one dayers. I wish Dravid and whole Indian team "All The Best" for the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka and South Africa.
i do't prefer rahul as a captain i accept that now a days saurav performance is not up to the mark but a captain require a lot of aggression that is not in rahul he is a cool and calm player i think we have to give time to saurav for improve their performance.i have consider the privious records i find that rahul as a captain feel a lot of pressure and as a captain their performance was not up to the mark.i think a player face ups and downs in his career it does't mean that in his good time we follow and in his bad time we does't follow i am seeing that in abroad saurav choose a timely and perfect stretegy and we see rahul performance is good in abroad.
I do not think Dravid will make a better captain and help India in its quest for the 2007 World Cup? As on today yes, coz Ganguly is technically out. But Ganguly will always be a better choise as the Captain.
Dravid has been selected to lead against both Lankans and Proteas is a right decision taken at a right time. As Ganguly, how long one can bask in the past glory. Perform or perish should be the motto - which Aussies have also adhered quite fruitfully - they got rid of Steve - even when his team was at his peak - good luck to Dravid and his team.
