Dravid right captain
by Gautam on Oct 14, 2005 09:07 PM

Thinking of future I believe Kaif wud have been the right captain.... but Dravid is not the right replacement for ganguly as captain... Anyway probably this was the short term best option....

The statisticain is wrong as Ganguly has scored one hundred recently in Zimbabawe which is not included and shows he has scored no centruy after WC 2003. Its really ridiculous how does these statisticains project wrong image w/o any validation of there data.

Anyway hope whatever happens it should be good for Team India

no.sourav is the right choice.we are making a severe mistake by giving greg power over selecting players!we dont check the fact that how come everything was right during the former coach?

Opponent matters

Your stats ignored the opponents in question. Ganguly, as a captain(not as a player), scored bulk of his runs against weak oppositions. Dravid almost always played the pivotal role in any major test victories we have had so far. BCCI is wholly justified in rewarding Rahul. Infact, Ganguly was just lucky to have survived this long.

Dravid is not good at Captinacy
by Kalyan.Singirikonda on Oct 14, 2005 08:03 PM

I think dravid is not good at Captinacy... i think Captinacy should be hand over to either Shewag or Kaif instead.....

Is Dravid the right choice ?

Yes, Dravid will definitely do a better work than Ganguly. He is still in good form and in addition I think he will be able to handle the team better than Ganguly as a 'cohesive team' which is the need of the hour.

Time makes the difference

When ganguly was made as captain no body knows that he would become the most successful captain.Only the time will decide about dravid also.So right now i wish all the success to dravid. If every member of the team puts there full effort then there is no matter of winning who ever may be the captain. For example look at the teams of austrailia, england and srilanka.

Dravid is not the right choice. Now in Indian cricket Ganguly is the man who can lead India to success.
