These medals

Govt of India, rather than helping to people come up in life, wastes money on awards such as Padma Sri/Vibhushan/Bhushan etc. It is just another gimmick of government of India whose policies have completely failed to give good life to 700 million indians. Even in fields like sports and science, government does nothing to provide good facilities to sportsmen and researchers; perhaps both sports and research infrastructure of India are some of the worst in the world. In the end, they give these token awards. It is such a pity.

Bharatha ratna is hights. One surest way to get this medal is to be born in the Gandi family (and perhaps be in congress)! Nehru, Indira, Rajeev are all Bharat ratnas, next it will be Sonia and then Rahul Babu and may be then his girlfirned and then Priyanka and then their kids. Varun might be given a bharat ratna by the BJP government. Bharath ratna means nothing, it is just a part of Indian redtapism.
