Shame on you Rediff

Shame on you Rediff for parading false Indian glory by trying to present an Indian connection to a American gujju.
Higlight other Indians who are doing well in the Olympics.

Ask him! He wont buy the idea of being an India or a Gujarati.. He is an American. Its time we stop lauding ppl who are no longer Indian citizens.

This news material is to attract attention that in some part of the world there is someone who has achieved worth mentioning. It's not taking credit of his achievement but like a loving mother India too feels the joy & pride of NRI's who no longer belong to our motherland.

he is now an american rather than Indian. So there is nothing to boost about. Also we indians feel proud to say that many of our indians are working in higher positions in USA at Academic institutions/Universities, Industries , NASA etc. If they are working there in USA then we should not feel proud about them just boosting about their success . All these so called indians have left their motherland and adopted USA as their destination. So it is our folly to boost about their success as they will never nor like to return to their motherland.

Its not publicity .....take it as news. And a medal in olympics be it any of the three is a big achievement..not possible for any common man with out training..We should be taking pride in these news as it says how we can be achievers around the world. Also dedicated to what we do and for which country we do ...Eg. Sania Mirza, surely she gives in everything for India....accept it and dont complain...!!

Dont Worry India
by truecricfan on Aug 12, 2008 11:19 PM  | Hide replies

Congrats for bronze madel!!! Dont worry India, Even in perfect world he would not hv won madel for India. This is team artistic gymnastics madel and his individual performance was below par, I have seen this event live and he scored way less than his teammates. Moreover, he was in team bcoz of injury to Paul Hamm (previous Gold medelist)

This is positive as ppl think India missed a Madel here!! At the same time I have all respect for Raj to make it to US team which he missed last time in 2004. It is not an easy task to make it in US selection. About his performance is a fact!!!
