INDIAN OLYMPICS

INDIAN OLYMPICS
By our cricket correspondent
Indian Association of Olympics (IAO) recommended the following new sports items which are coming naturally to Indians to be included in forthcoming Olympics so that India can win some gold medals.

Standing: Standing comes naturally to Indians and most sportsmen. Participants in it can practice throughout the year by merely waiting in queues. For the actual occasion, when the gun goes off at the starting line, sportsmen will stand and wait and wait. The winner will inevitably be an Indian.
Team Spitting Event: A relay race where contestants are asked to spit in any part of a public building except in the spittoon.
Red Light Jump: Instead of the long or high jump, atheletes will have to wait in vehicles at street junctions and asked to jump the stop light.
Waterless Polo: As a prelude to the summer Olympics, and the lack of water in summer, the committee proposed that swimmers contest a waterless polo event, thereby also reducing their chances of contracting water-borne disease.
Caste Relay Race: A 400-meter relay race in which the four national castes are represented along with other sub-castes and sub-subcastes.
Public Urination: The Olympic Committee decided to elevate public urination to the level of competitive sport.
Bribery: Archery in which India secured a miserable 84th position at Dhaka will be replaced by bribery, in which India will undoubtedly manage a much better one in the forthcoming Bhopal Olympics

Olympic mirror shows our Politicians are Impotent Dogs
by red chillies on Aug 12, 2008 04:55 PM

OLYMPICS is a mirror shows our Politicians are Impotent Dogs.
Olympics is a benchmark of How responsible the Leadership is and how sensitive they are towards the civil society at large.
Here the Lampoons wretched lusty animals only allowed to become politician and their favourite hiding place is behind 'LIKE PEOPLE LIKE LEADER" excuse which is a farce and shameless stupid argument.
Politicians are themselves the most rotten problem of this Nation who only know to eat taxpayers money and loot the nation.
OLYMPICS show how the Democratic system in our country is looted by the Impotent people called Politicians of land.

may be you can wish your great grand son to witness that, given the present set of politicians and sport minister... Do you have an idea of the total amount spent on Olympics for the facilities and infrastructure? When India think of Olympics on grounds, countries like China and US would plan to conduct Olympics in Mars and Moon (have we come out of the debt of Asiad yet?)

Don't over rate China and under rate India. Your country has great and tremendous potential. But the real problem is people are lazy, greedy and are not united for the National cause. To solve all these things India needs a super strong leadership. Perhaps better than Chinese, say a leader like Putin who can crack the whip of the erratic and lunatic Indians and make them to work. Then the country will rise, in most of the ranks including sports. And stop complaining about excessive population, corruption, illiteracy and whatnot.

I disagree with you... I will certainly over ratre China over India for the hard work and fighting spirit what they have... see the infrastructure, facilities, industrial growth, employment generation, hardware revolution etc. in china... with a couple of BPOs (not even software developing companies) don't even think of looking at China...
for for hosting the Olympics, with the given poverty, pathetic infrastructure, corrupted politicians, it will take another 150 years for India to be approved for Olympics... take a bet... am an Indian - just saying the truth..

Frankly I feel pity for you and your 'living' state in that great country. My dream of India can't have any space for the people like you whose are internally killed, and carry no positive energy (that's what your Gold medal winner has given a message to you people - people in India are really sucked up with the disease called Negativism!)

Huang had promised to throw himself off one of the countless high-rise buildings situated in the Chinese capital if his team didn't make up for the disappointment of failing to get a medal in Athens by winning on home soil but was spared the fate thanks to a superb performance by the China team.
