OPENING THE GHOST POT
by thomas abraham on Mar 17, 2011 01:25 PM  | Hide replies

The Nature has provided everything required for the needs of human beings. But if human beings become greedy all these disastors are nature's answer.India is one of the most corrupt nations and our nuclear installtions are certaintly with cheap materials, lack of sufficient thicknesses for the concrete as well as the metal covers and lack of proper catastrophy control measures. Our politicians and beaurocrats want bribes and kickbacks and business people and contractors wants maximum profits with maximum black money. Certaintly if such a thing like a nuclear explosion happen in India it will affect crores of poor civilians and the politicians and courts shall be with the foreign companies as happened in the Bhopal Gas tragedy.

Government wants to silently control population growth
by inder ratra on Mar 17, 2011 01:23 PM  | Hide replies

But this way of killing innocent people by radiation or gas leaks is as barbaric as government engineered massacres carried out now and then.It would have been better if Nehru e.t.c. would have not gifted vast lands to china e.t.c. on pretext of ungovernable areas or waste lands.

MUMBAI
by vidya on Mar 17, 2011 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Mumbai and surrounding areas are built on sedimentary rock base - meaning very very lose base. The construction that is happening - greed and speed is maddening. The sedimentary layer can not take lot of load on it. And Mumbai , like San Francisco lies exactly on the fault line.

Infact scintists say that MUMBAI was saved because of the earth quakes occured in Latur and Bhuj. So tectonic pressure was released. Otherwise, by now, Mumbai would have been affected severely by earth quake.

And costal cities are always risky. Not sure how people are buying properties worth lacs of rupees there.

Other way also Mumbai's days are number.Although it is hard to believe, really the days are numbered...

Due to global warming, polar glaciers are melting and Mumbai is expected to be fully submerged by 2040...

by Maximum on Mar 17, 2011 12:41 PM  | Hide replies

People were killed like animals
thousands did not recive medical attention even 20 years after the tragedy

The then Chief minister has died after living his life in luxary

the then party is holding the entire nation at ransom

ITs time to think if a nuclear disaster it will not limit to surrounding population or generation

it will leak 100's kilometer effected would be millions with no remedy today.
Generation after generation will suffer

As usual few benifiecieries would enjoy at the cost of million of sufferers

You seem to be having a case of verbal diarrhea.

These reactors will be perfectly fine in Maharashtra even in Latur. Narora on the other hand is on the banks of the Ganga in UP!! Go figure!

Fire in the reactor! Run Run Run!

Where are you from by the way?
