UID

You must edit your Topic to "Why must criminal Indians fear the UID." - You should also know that it is very simple to find information about any individual who is not specifically trying to hide information (generally criminals.) Other than that my fellow poor Indian leave their trails all over the country. When you use your credit, when you buy property, driver license, bank accounts, mobile number - All poor people (not necessary by wealth) get all these things listed in legal manner. Their information is available in a very easy manner. All new teenagers write a lot already about themselves on the facebook website. we now know more personal information about them then we ever want to know - to the tune of what color of undergarments they wore today.

Facebook and LinkedIn are sharing data with CIA in the name of national security. It is part of the new world order agenda to enslave the global population and take control of all natural resources. Once you are strictly under their CONTROL GRID then there is no escape. Even if your MIGHTY GOVERNMENT ask you to pay 70% tax you will have to obey. Otherwise your bank account all your income sources can be frozen in split seconds. Wake up and understand the threat. Search google for "Practical risks of Aadhaar/UID project" and learn more.

UID is good if used correctly. It can be implemented by an independent agency similar to ICANN. The number should be random, secure and anonymous. It can build in security similar to bank locker and data can be made available subject to individual agreeing or court order. It has to be made indelible and secure for tracking all transactions of all persons without any distinction.

as a rejoinder to praful bidwai,
no sane and law abiding citizen will object to,but welcome it, as multiple benfits will be there to ease your daily life in years to come. Further only criminal minded citizens should fear, being caught by law enforcing agency if they cheat on others or do harm

Submissive people like you will push India to another 400 years of slavery. You are thinking that criminals need only worry, but you are not worried that you, yes YOU, are going to get treated as a criminal!!!

Your "Good System" itself has no legal sanction! Do you think having a law will solve all problems? Are you that confident about our law enforcement department? How about courts? Average life of a court case in India is 5 years!!! I don't understand which organ do you guys use for thinking!!!

It is one more invasion of civil liberties by the Indian semi literate so called babudom. I do not know why the opposition is keeping quite? The Congress party is digging its own grave. It is time they realise the gravity of the so called project. It is total wastage of public money. Everybody must protest loudly regarding this money making UID.

The data collected from this project can be used by the government to check illegal immigration from India's borders. Its a fact that the Civil Id works extremely well in all the Gulf countries and encourages a certain amount of discipline among the citizens as all transactions- even deposting money into an account needs a civil id .

you have been bullied. UID can be applied by anyone, even non-citizens as per the draft bill which has not yet gotten parliamentary approval!!! If your politicians want to orchestrate a blast, they can bring people from other countries by using your data to get them UID. After the blast the entire nation will turn against you and you will never a chance to prove your innocence.
