SCRAP IT
by jobseeker on Oct 13, 2010 08:44 AM  | Hide replies

Does this govt know of nothing but to misguide people in every way? Another distraction for the prople from the existing problems, just to give them false sense of security. They lend a deaf ear to the plight of farmers dying everyday. Inflation in food prices keeps skyrocketing and internal security concerns escalating. And these old fools wants people to believe all these can be stopped by some geek-stuff. We Indians are so fond of showy new things and western standards which is what these politicians exploit. Constantly devising new ways to make money for themselves and to make the rich richer at the cost of common peoples lives. History has ample proof of that. Bofors, Enron, Bhopal, Monsanto to name a few and the list may well extend into the future. No-one has ever received any justice till date against these perpetrators for there crimes that went hand in hand with ministers and bureaucrats, just let them fade in time. Finding new ways to rob people of their freedom by giving more power to politicians and bureaucrats to control peoples lives. Tame the beast and make cattle out of citzens. This Congress party thinks of India as their ancestral property and hence Indians their slaves, and they have been selling this country bit by bit to Western powers since independence. They are in constant mode of shamelessly looting lands and livelihoods of people, as recent incidents in Bengal & elsewhere suggest.

Hi Jobseeker
Please do make UIID as a congress scheme. It was designed by Sri Nandan Nilkenni to provide services to the poor .
That is what exactly it will do ,it will authenticate who you are with a yes or no.
All transcations apart like banking ,insurance happen in the provider database.
Please do not make UIID a political issue.
Please concentrate on important issues and part manisfesto.
I know BJP is a good mature party ,by attacking congress or rahul or sonia will not get you anywhere.

you have to conentrate on policies atract young ,marginalised ,and down trodden across society ,to do that you need to come out with policies .
Policies that will cut corruption and deliver services and make indias wealth circulate in india ,not money laundered overseas or end up in tax havens.

3.Iam yet to see ,any good policy announcements from Gadhakari ,elections are a bit away ,but policies have to be sorted out now ,and put before people.
BJP should become a party of choice not for middleclass ,but all sections of the society so plz put energies in that direction.
Iam really saddened with state of affairs in Karnataka state please wake up

Not convincing enough dude. Machines can make mistakes and mistakes can be deliberately targeted by anyone with social, political or administrative authority. Damage will be done and as usual none will be caught. Changes are needed to be done in core system not superficial and showy all aimed at the votes. As far as policy goes its time the people fix policies for these esteemed leaders in their very 'public' ways for a change. All states are like Karntaka waiting to happen. We'll take them one at a time. What says?

Now, their latest fad with nuclear power, compromising the countrys's sovereignty and liabilities concerning the people are well on the way. Very soon India will follow its half-brother Pakistans way to catastrophe by licking up America's feet and suiting to its requirements. Hang these damned Congressmen and bury them in the sea if people of India are to live with dignity and freedom in coming days.

re:UIID WILL DELIVER SERVICES TO THE POOR AND NEEDY
by rama anne on Oct 13, 2010 08:42 AM  | Hide replies

Hi all
1.UIID is an authentication mechanism with biometrics as it will determine identity with accuracy ,it will eliminate duplicate ration cards and stealing of grains diverted to blackmarket.

2.No Govt of India will not profile citizens this is a false propoganda by some people.

3.All details like banking transactions, insurance etc take place in the provider network and recorded in the provider database.UIID will only store Bio metric info that too in encrypted form in the database.
Only a check yes or no is made gainst the database in most cases 90 percent.

4.After bomb blasts we did not compalin security checks with Xray screening and other checks so why put fear in peoples minds.

5.It will transform India ,and help curb corruption in various govt services provided to the people by Govt of India.

6.Planning commission will have accurate data to determine and plan for Indias future and target schemes for needy in our society.

7.It will reduce bureacracy ,as there will be no excsuse to lie or open the ration shop only for few hours and say there is no more stock, now with UIID we can take a prinout of quantity of grain distributed and quickly bring to the book guilty and replace such people in the system with good people.

8.Iam sure not only will it help India ,but it will be a model for other countries to adopt just like Delhi metro

UNSAFE INDIA FOR INDIANS
by j j on Oct 13, 2010 08:21 AM  | Hide replies

INDIAN GOVT. HAS ENSURED INDIANS ARE NOT SAFE AND THEY WILL HAVE NO PRIVACY IN A COUNTRY WHERE ROGUES & RASCALS RULE THE ROOST AT EVERY LEVEL OF LIFE & EXISTANCE - OFFICIAL & UNOFFICIAL!

UID IS GOING TO BE MASSIVELY MISUSED & ABUSED, ESPECIALLY BY THE NATGRID, MORE THAN BY SOME OF THE DRACONIAN LAWS THAT EXIST!

AND ALL THE POLITICIANS, BUREAUCRATS, ROGUES, RASCALS & MINIONS WILL ALWAYS GO SCOT FREE!

INDIA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY! IT IS THE LARGEST FARCE-O-CRACY OF THE WORLD! NO OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH CAN COMPETE WITH IT!

AFTER THE MOVEMENT OF LIBERATING INDIA FROM BRITISH RULE BY GANDHIJI, A BIGGER REVOLUTION IS NEEDED TO GET THIS COUNTRY OUT OF THE CLUTCHES OF GOVT.AL DICTATORSHIP.

TO AN EXTENT SWAMI RAMDEV HAS STARTED IT. HOPE HE SUCCEEDS!

by girish chander on Oct 13, 2010 07:51 AM  | Hide replies

Every nation in the world needs to have the database of its citizens. It is definitely a must if you want a safe country and track any sort of misuse. How do you expect the security agencies to protect you when they do not have the basic information about you. Let's stop being paranoid about everything and look at things the way they are instead of painting them black!

yep well said sir ,there you go
UIID will help Indias poor and will create a system that works for PDS(Public Distribution System).
Many more services like banking too can be provided to the people as well.
UIID will only authenticate against biometric info with accuracy and eliminate duplicate ration cards .
You are right ,people are fed with paranoia by some poeple who do not like India to succeed .we all know this happened before too ,it is not new .

I would not share my biometrics
by Kes Som on Oct 13, 2010 07:46 AM  | Hide replies

I would not share my biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scans with any organization run by corrupt babus. Notice that neither the PM / Sonia / Rahul Gandhi have applied for the UID, nor have Nilekani & Gang been heard to apply for the same. So far, it has only been issued to unsuspecting tribals.

hi Ravi
sri Mamnmohan singh and smt Prathiba Paatil were the first citizens (with family for UIID).
Sonia and Rahul will do it when delhi will do it.
Likewise Nandan is from karnataka state ,i think dharwad(iam not sure do not quote on me) ,when his district turn comes he will do it.
But why you people do not grow up.why keep attacking famous people .Suggest policies and solutions and be part of the solution

hi please wake up
First poeple that got UIID were PM dr Manmohan singh and president of India smt Pratiba Patil.
as far as Sonia and Rahul they will do it as delhi citizens when their turn comes up.
Man your comment is a bit out of reality.
Tribals are given ,because they are the most needy of food grains as they live near forests with landslides and natural calamaties.
so it was a right step to do.nandobar village is one of the selected along with other villages that are acutely poor across India.
It is service to the acute poor and that is why it started there

Well you sharing your information with corrupt babus will help to reduce corruption so you must share this information. To me these "tribals" need UID much more than we do bcoz almost all the time these people are taken for ride by the corrupt govt officials. Suggest you to do a bit of reading on UID and you will know its benefits. I am sure this will empower those below poverty line to some extent.

Hi Swapni Suarav
Your statement sharing info with corrupt babus is not true ,infact UIID will record in its database in an encrypted form ,no one will be able to read it ,only authorised DBA,Programmers will run reports against database and then only the babus can access such info.
Babus will acess but will not be able to change any info.
So plz stop putting wrong info.
If u have questions go the UIIDAI website and post it in frequently asked questions section and someone will answer you .plz do not post wrong info and spread rumoours
