Recent Aircrash & UID
by Matha Kamal on Jun 05, 2010 03:35 PM  | Hide replies

In the Mangalore air crash about 30 passengers mostly Muslims from Kerala were using different passports, and many flew in other persons identification even on dead persons long ago. This shows need of UID, but as long as Musilms are issued minimum two passports this is not possible to implement. Infosys have only a bank software to claim for. TCS was assigned duty of passport computerisation and 100 lakhs sanctioned in advance but they were not able to develop even a working model leave alone software.

Nandkeni may get a Bharat Renta for UID but this will never be fully implemented in India.
Waste of money thats all.

Soon we will find that most of Muslims have more than one UID

good UID
by arnold on Jun 05, 2010 03:33 PM  | Hide replies

BY UID govet can identify and transfer the benifit money directly in to the bank accounts/cards of real poor.
UID can identify who are begging but holds buildings and lands but not deserved to be begging.
UID can avoid greedy blood sucking middle men in transfering Govt benifits to the real poor people.
UID can filter out who is really not poor holding buildings and lands and recorded as poor in present system but blood sucking the benifits ment for poor.(In the present system of identification of poor there is no link with the properties and lands to his status of poor... if he is not employee he is a poor in present system).

People in the villages who never cheat any banks must be credit rated well to get bank loans easily and the people in cities who cheat the banks by swallowing 100's of crores of loans must be credit rated down to avoid any lons for him in future.

UID can check the illegal immigrants... a story i saw happened in AP recently.... A bangladeshi girl chnaged her name as pooja ... came to India from dubai and able to get birth certificate and passport also? this can be checked by UID.

I am thinking of poor and I support UID by which they can get Govt benifits which they never got by the failed old system for last 60 years..

Support UID ... God bless India.

If UID gets implementd this writers illegal assets will aslo come out as the next stage must be attaching all assests to UID

In UK there is no Law
In India a Law will be enacted to protect the privacy.
Gopal Krishna does not know that.

I THINK NILEKANI IS WORKING AS A TOUT AND FUNDING INFOSYS AS WELL AS CONGRESS PARTY. MOREOVER, RICHER ARE THE COFFERS OF INFOSYS, RICHER ARE NILEKANI AND KRISHNAMURTHY AS THEY ARE THE BIGGEST SHAREHOLDERS OF INFOSYS. I THINK NILEKANI IN THE GARB OF UID PROJECT HAS COLLUDED WITH RULING JUNTA IN THE ORGANISED LOOT OF THE STATE EXCHEQUER

He is concerned about the politicians' "fundamental right" to allocate crores of Rs. on various schemes and "disburse" them to "imaginary" beneficiaries.

UK is not India
by arunkumar ms on Jun 05, 2010 03:25 PM

In UK they may be planning to scrap because of different reasons. In India, Govt. is planning to implement for better reasons. First of all UID gives an identity to poor. Many of whom do not have identity to open a bank account, get a ration card. Many are nomadic. In such a case the argument of invasion of privacy is subsided. UID department itself has spelt out that all required firewalls, security protection, enciphering and deciphering will be built to protect the data. The Government is also planning to enact a Law. In such a situation the argument of Gopal Krishna to scrap UID is mere crap, baseless. According to me Gopal Krishna does not know much about UID.s plan of approach

scrap the UID project

I fully agree with d author. UID project is a violation of citizen's privacy, it is against human rights. Govt is trying to act as an
e-gestapo in the name of poors. Then what it did for last 63 years? I discard this scheme !
