Rambling buffoon from cow belt
by Kaushik Kashyap on Jul 15, 2009 02:20 AM

Vikas Rambal was born in Delhi, India, in 1967. Mr Rambal qualified as a chemical engineer at the University of Nagpur, specializing in petrochemicals.
He spent the first years of his career working with Bharat Petroleum (formerly Shell) and was then involved in a range of projects including refineries and the manufacture of fertilisers.

In 2000, Mr Rambal and his business partners arrived in Western Australia with plans to use natural gas for downstream industry, including the manufacture of ammonia for the international fertiliser market.

Vikas Rambal and his wife Maegha, and sons Ishan, 8 and Vashist, 6, relocated from Delhi to Perth in 2001, allowing the family to focus on the successful development of the Burrup Fertiliser project.

Apologist Indians - Blame the Victim mentality should stop
by DarthVader on Jul 14, 2009 08:06 PM

I wonder why so many Indians are apologizing and rationalizing for the behavior of thuggish elements in the Australian Society. This insanely cowardly attitude of "we must have done something wrong" - therefore "we deserve what we get" is not uniquely Indian. But the number of Indians who hold this attitude is mind boggling. No wonder a billion people are being dominated by a mere 150 million pakistanis who are able to extract a much better leverage from the world powers than India can ever dream of achieving.

Self respect, confidence, and some moxie (meaning gonads) are all essential ingredients of becoming a world power and living well - elements that are sadly missing in the Indian populace. Such a shame..

Azeem depending upon how far your cousing went with his eve-teasing ...it would be something they brought on themseles.

The oz thugs were just a bunch of druggies who have identified indians as easy pick .

The aussie government should nip this in the bud before the thugs have a go on other white aussies

Dear Muhammad,
'When you are in Rome,
Live like a Roman'.
This is an old saying, but
perfectly valid for NewGen Indian students in Australia.
They should not behave, like
in an Indian Univ campus.

This Man is Absolutely Right
by Vivek Chandrasekhar on Jul 14, 2009 02:00 PM  | Hide replies

This gentleman is absolutely right about what he said. I have never experienced , heard from friends or watched any explicit racial attacks, verbal or physical anywhere. I was astonished to find that when I visited India recently , every other media channel is portraying all unnatural deaths of young Indians as racially motivated. Many are just victims of robbery, just like people of other races. It feels helpless that the Indian media can twist stories just the way they like. It is indeed a fact that recently arrived Indians abroad tend to be noisy, inpolite and generally disturbing the public decorum. This may be acceptable in our culture but the more developed countries generally find it unacceptable. I sincerely hope the gvernment or some NGO trains every Idnian student who leaves for studying abroad on behavioural and social skills.

If you find 'this amazing cuture' abhorrent, you should
avoid going to that country.
You cannot possibly try to change a country's culture, during a brief studentship.

VERY CORRECTLY SAID.
Example: Talking loud in a public space may be normal in India, but
looked-down-upon in many foreign
countries. When u r in a foreign land u have to follow the local
norms.

Darth Vader - you are an ignorant moron. The attacks on Indian students are by organised gangsters - mostly Lebanese Arabs. They also attack whites and are known to gang-rape white women making the excuse in court that their Muslim culture says any woman not in a burka is available to them! Stupid Indian students should learn to not flash their fancy electronic gadgets attracting the thieves. Even drunk Indian students in UK are often the target of thieves/muggers since most are physically small and puny!!! An Indian friend's son in London against his parent's advice travelled on the top floor of a double decker bus and was robbed of his fancy Sony-Ericcson cellphone by three West Indians!

Right, and you are a genius with IQ of 200. Let us not argue who is a member of Mensa and who is not - this is irrelevant to the issue.

Does the idea of taking a stand to defend yourself scare you? This is what civilizations who are noble and people who have self respect, confidence and strength do to protect their interests.

One can only modify one's behavior so much in response to outside threats. At some point, you have to "fight back" - concepts that are alien to Indians and Indian civilization I guess - explains why we have been so easily colonized by all and sundry.

Read the above article....

Rambal, whose company Perdaman Industries plans to build a 3.5 billion dollar urea plant in Collie, south of Perth, told students at his former university in Nagpur on Thursday that Indian students had provoked the attacks on themselves.

I think when I looked last, Nagpur was still in India..... you think otherwise?.... ;-)

why do you want to do that. Sitting here in India and in an AC office, when you can pass a verdict on Rambal, why cant he comment on something and about a land where he has lived all his life. Use some common sense not emotions!!
