we are amusing!!
by Nayak on Jul 13, 2009 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

I live in New York. Once we had a social meeting in our office. It was like a round table gathering of 10 to 15 people and introducing each other from different project groups.

People had to introduce themselves and talk about their hobbies. This Andhra guy, to everyone’s surprise and amusement , said ‘I like to get drunk, eat Biryani and watch hometown movie’.

intolerance
by messenger on Jul 13, 2009 08:28 PM  | Hide replies

Agreed Indians need to change a lot - but if someone can beat you up just because they did not like your mannerisms....it just shows how ignorant & intolerant Australians are..
There are better ways, like complaining to authorities instead of taking law into their own hands

well, seems like u never went out of India. if they are intolerant as you think, we sould have had very bad time. wetsrrn countries are most progressive because they are very tolerant people, in fact opposite of muslims. we indians are kind of in between western world and muslims.

by praveen praveen on Jul 13, 2009 08:25 PM

To be very honest,
I know little about this rambal. I read the messages posted here also.
All these are just so childish that I am speechless. talking abt itli-dosa, oil on hairs, watching woman, ring tones of mobile phone.
Boys grow up and talk with some better logic.

Hurting ppl is wrong no matter if they are aussie , no matter what the reason is.

Economic slowdown is hurting everywhere. I am not telling ppl to follow gandhigiri but ppl keep reporting such action by law.

Civic sense
by Chandrashekhar Kulkarni on Jul 13, 2009 08:16 PM  | Hide replies

Some people will never understand the importance of behaving in public and basic civic sense.

It has to be inculcated from child hood. And those who do not understand, have never heard of these things at their homes. It is their parent's fault.

I've seen lot of mallus & southies in Singapore & the way most of them behave is pathetic.
the way they speak loudly on phones, No one in other parts of India would bear, still Singaporeans r cool hearted these mallus go away creating nuisance.
Better they understand public behaviourial manners or get the rewards as in Australia.

My dear it is straight forward simple.. no India (especially from Punjab are in Australia for study. They are there to make easy money and show their superiority back home.

Do you like the people Who spit in public after eating gutkha and paan?

The answer is most probably NO. Because its wrong.

The same logic applies here. Don't get emotionally involved in the topic.

If there is clap, it means both the hands are involved.

Hey! Does eating with hands shame you?

If so, then you are pathetic.

I have tought many europeans to eat with their hands and they loved it.

By the way, Americans would very soon use a gel made of Coconut. That should not surprise anybody.

You have very very low self-esteem.

Mr Nayak! you got to look at yourself afresh in the mirror.

Following your re1igion is different from having some basic mannerisms

Westerners are broadminded enough to allow people to follow their re1igion and culture on their land, but anyone can be put off by lack of personal hygiene and dirty behaviour
