Great leaders and education does not necessarily have a connection
by Kunal Rajkumar on May 22, 2004 08:24 AM

There have been many great leaders in the past who have not had an illustrious educational background. Leaders who change the destiny of a nation are more because of vision, a deep understanding of the problems of a nation and above all the will to execute the plan vigorously. Efficiency is the criterion of a powerful personality, Sardar Patel was no Manmohan Singh but India owes it to him being India TODAY. We need strong leaders, we need leaders with a vision, we need leaders with undoubted integrity and resolve...so what if he is not all that educated but if he is progressive and open minded he will more than make up for lack of classroom instructions.

Prime Minister's Qualifications
by S.Shankar on May 22, 2004 05:35 AM

Technocrats are not allowed to be PM in this country. Why?When shall we have a B.Tech+MBA PM? The Dy.PM can be a master or doctorate in economics or pol.science..
Pl.mention clearly, and not vaguely, late Rajiv Gandhi's exact qualifications with those of Mrs.Sonia Gandhi alongside..

Its nice to have a highly qualified intellectual as well as a good person as our PM . Budget given by ManMohan Singh is the best buget india ever had and I suppose that he will also be the BEST PM to fulfil the dreams of A.P.J.Abdul Kalams vision 2020 .So its nice to see that India is ruled by a brilliant scientist and a perfect politician . BEST OF LUCK TO MANMOHAN SINGH FOR VISION 2020.

Reply for the qualification of MBA for PM
by Abid Khan on May 21, 2004 11:43 PM

My opinion is to civilise and educate people of the country........ that is important. If MBA is condition, don't you think that without going to college in present system of indian education can't I hold a MBA degree. Even if I register as MBA student. will it make me change my attitute. If i dont study and do politics in college (gundagardi).
I feel untill any govt do not put efforts to civilise our country people nothing can change. even now we call secularism, it is not the thing only to call hindu, muslim, sikh, christan on one plateform. It is to give respect to human and get respect. That is only could be acheived by doing JUSTICE only.

Love for country
by Aijaz Mohd Khan on May 21, 2004 09:39 PM

It is a must that there should be a minimum qualification for the president, prime minister, chief minister, member of parliament, and MLC for the progress of India in the right direction. However, what is more important is love for India. Our politicians - it is very unforunate - place the country at the bottom of their agenda and refuse to learn from the experience of other countries, for example China.
