Qualification for a Premier
by Nithya on May 21, 2004 12:26 PM  | Hide replies

A law should be passed and enforced that debars uneducated bumpkins from taking oath. A PG degree is a must and so is a good knowledge of GK, International languages. Maybe we can start with English.

By doing this we can wipe out the likes of LalooJi and Rabri Madams!

dear friends,

according to me no need for demanding very higher degrees.graduation is more than enough.if we look in to the past with out higher degrees some of our pm's really work hard for our country like nehru, shastri.what they need is understanding the problems of our country and strong determination to solve those problems, that is what we people will expect from our pm's but not the qulifications

No basic qualification for MPs
by Nishank Srivastava on May 21, 2004 12:07 PM

Dear Rediff,

This is revealing news that you have shown us. It is really matter of appreciation and proud that our would be Prime Minister is the highly qualified person.

But the matter of grieveing is that although having the PM and President of India so qualified there is no basic qualification for the MPs and others.

How qualified are our PMs
by vinod kumat on May 21, 2004 11:26 AM

At least one thing is sure that with time, qualifications of our PMs is increasing. But more than qualification, it is the thinking and action of PMs which matter. They have to be visionary and excellent leaders.

Regarding age, it should be reduced to max.55 yrs and not more than 2 terms like American President.Thant way our young and bright people will also have a chance to come up and contribute. They will also be in a hurry to implement things and highly enthusiastic about it.
