poor police intelligence
by Thomas on Jul 11, 2006 11:23 PM

Sir,
What you said should make every Indian do an introspection about the situation in India, police , policts, army civilians etc. everywhere there is curreption and rot. Mumbai police is gathering intelligence on couples waking hand in hand and ladies in dance bar. They have no time for terroists.

unfortunate state of thngs

very thoughtful and mature views.wish our politicians were this mature too.it is a sorry state how politicians misuse unfortunate happenings like bomb blasts for their own benefit.honestly, i doubt how people are killed in police encounters.are our officers not trained enough to get hold of these people instead of shooting them to death.and lastly truly india is learning a lot from israel.

it was really good to read this interviews and know abt the facts..But tell me Mr. VB is it possible for police to patrol and gather info in this large country..In your days there was no terrosim and it was easy for u guys..But now its a differnt place..It is now the duty of public to provide info to the police so that they can take proper measures

Mr. V. Balachandran's Attitude!
by Abhay Samel on Sep 26, 2003 05:17 PM

With All due respects to Mr VB, he has been giving examples of how he was supposed to report to the CM daily back in 1973. He also has mentioned that there were no Terrorist that time. In these days Terrorism is not being imported but is being fostered locally. He talks about keeping tabs on the daily influx of new people coming to Mumbai..Has he given a thought to how many people come into Mumbai daily and what are the logistics of keeping a tab on them....feels like he too is just trying to lay the blame on others...irony being that in the same breath he is blaming the Politicians who have been behaving in a fashion closely resembling the way VB is during his interview....If he feels strongly about the government being ineffective why does he not get elected and then actually implement the policies he is mentioning...?

kudos for saying the truth but what happens to officers when they are in service.
people like l.k.advani have really no credibility
left and all know their game but is unfortunate
that they have become leaders by default

Its a pleasant surprise to know that there still are such understanding people in the majority community of India and that too in security agencies. But unfortunately in our country, hollow nationalists like Advani and Thakrey, are more respected than people like Mr. Balachandran. People like Mr. Advani are in fact the true anti nationals because they alienate people from mainstream and creat terrorists.

Utter rubbish !! Alienation is a self destruction & purely indivisual process supported by fanatics. Terrorists are themselves to be blamed for being so. And no need of crying over statements from Advani, he is in an India created such by 50 years of Nehru dynasties divide and rule policy.
