Refreshing to see someone speak common sense which our politicans woefully lack. THe comments on L.K. ADVANI and his knee jerk statements are so true. I cringe to listen to all those pearls of wisdom politicians spout thnking the masses to be cerebrally compromised.

V Balachandars attitude
by Jayanti Iyer on Sep 02, 2003 07:05 PM  | Hide replies

No wonder India has failed to curb terriorism what with people like VB in RAW with their inability to see the truth. The interviewee is exhibiting strong anti-bjp attitude and is using every opportunity to show his bias. I see no reason at all for example to bring in Arial Sharon into this discussion. Typical leftist attitude.

Exactly, why shud VB quote only Advani, the policy of dividing was from British, inherited and truely applied in India by Nehru dynasty and Congress with their communist friends. They are the ones to be blamed not BJP.

Intelligence loop holes...... really???
by Ritwik Garg on Sep 02, 2003 03:12 PM

Dear Mr. Balachandran,
I do agree to your statements like the politicians want to divide people and create misunderstandings. But wont you also admit that India by the very nature is a huge country and patrolling each and every nook and corner is not possible. When someone wants to create a problems it's easy but to monitor that is difficult. The police is not really to blame but the politicians and its system. Do you think that if a constable is paid well he will have to go and accept a bribe in the first place? No. Also with a low strength in the force & some leader or the other needs protection then? Ask the police to let go of their kins and friends. What happens to their morale in that case?It is always easy to point fingers and blame but really difficult to be able to give an answer. You have written so much about an intelligence network that police should have but how to get it? Nothing on it, why?You were very fast in chastisising the police but then is it not only for creating a sensation. It would really do the country a lot good if you can give them some guidance on how to do it rather than killing their already low moral. But again without asking for a post can u do it?

Does it exist at all ??
by chanakya on Sep 02, 2003 11:25 AM

Their energies and attention are rivetted and focussed more on the intelligence for building up information data-bases that are potential sources of continuous flow of haftas with precision regularity.

They do not have any further time and energy left for an effective surveillance on the potential blasters infiltrating into Bharat Varsh from across the borders of that napaak Pak and its equally napaak earlier limb that is now known as Bangla Desh.

A lot of napaaks and Bangla Deshis have bought their illegal entry into Bharat Varsha, and their illegal stay on this land. Because somebody is interested in making money on the project. And the media and the people at large openly talk about this !!

The shop is still open.

Let Lalji order whatever this or that.

Even the newsreader on the idiot box is known to have that desirive smile when reading about orders issued by Lalji. Of course, it is in traces but easily traceable.

If this continues unabated, even the Almighty will wash his hands off this country, as He is known to help who help themselves. And if our protectors will continue "helping themselves", He would flatly refuse to oblige : "You deserve it."

May be the Govt. should bring back these old experiencd stalwarts and put them to good use for building and developing and anti-terrorism intelligence wing. Most of the things he says about our politico's are what the people are coming to believe.
