I detest the condescending attitude that some north Indians have towards the south Indians referring to us as "Madhrasees", I feel the author suffers from this attitude too.
"generations in Chennai bylanes will pick up and to which's Boom Boom Robo Da refrain many an Andhra guy will breakdance to. "
Why does he not write "some bongs will gulp rashagollas to the fourth song"
Boy am I am glad Hindi does not flourish in the South or we would have to deal with more of such bigotted attitude

well said... this idiot needs to understand that lower half of india is not "chennai", and ar rahman is not a "southie" artist dammit... while the hindi superstar AB is hailed as BigB and the "Indian" superstar of alltime, these biased r0gues conveniently forget greats in other film industries...hindi is just another language, and is hindi speaking public alone is not India... and I am not a tamil, i hail from kerala... i have seen this attitude from northies like "u r a mallu"...

Rehman is not at his best in Enthiran.Nor the lyricists. But Rajanikanth's movie songs need to be for the mass audience and not aimed at winning Oscars.Meanwhile Sumit Bhattacharya need to offer his morning prayers looking at the South direction since in the last decade no Hindi movie had songs as good as Dil Se or Roja or Rangeela in terms of class.Even Lagaan & Jodha Akbar had a certain element of class. In terms of other areas of film technology (Sabu Cyril, Santosh Sivan, PC Sriram, Ravi K Chandran, Thotta Tharani, Resul Pookutty)I am sure South rules. Its a fact. Its time Bollywood comes out of showcasing family marriages, serial kissing & make quality movies.I am sure the talented ones like Anurag Kashyap,Vishal bhardwaj are welcomed in South & people watch their movies. Not discard them.

There are many superstars in India like Great Dilip kumar, Amitabh bachan, Rajnikant, Amir Khan etc.... But there is only one Megastar in India/world and That is KING KHAN/ SRK... He is most popular star in the world ever more popular than Brad pitt... God bless him...

throw away the popularity......... have you seen the salman's character? he is better and better than Srk(selfish)
I think all the creative juices of A.R.Rahman has been milked dry over the last 20 years. Now he is but a pale shadow of himself. All his recent films - Ghajini, Blue, 3, Raavan, Endhiran or even CWG score have been at best average. The only noteworthy score came in "Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya." One wonders why he took 6 months to create the CWG theme song which is quite pedestrian to say the least. No wonder it is Harris Jayaraj and Yuvan Shankar Raja who are rocking in the South right now.

I can still say..he is the best in India right now..All he has to do is phuking stop singing..I get irritated when he sings loud notes..it was ok for few songs..but what the phuck..please ARR shut your phucking mouth

Dont think so.. Ghajini was awesome.. Even Raavan was good to hear but since movie flopped, the songs were not able to stand after it.. VTV was exccellent.. He did a good job in Tamil Maanadu song and CWG surely could have been better..
Sometimes, experiment fails.. This time, it failed in big stage..

Very few people know Nadheem Shravan and he has only very few hits. Do not compare Rahman with somebody else. Every body has got his own style of composing. It only depends the way people receive it.
