hi everybody.i do appreciate maniratnam for making such an extraordinary movie raavan, villan.the way it was moulded was very impressive.the acting skills of abhishek, aish n vikram are very impressive, awesome.vikram’s action in telugu is just a masterpiece.the way he moulds his body nd his bodylanguage according to the roles is really fantastic.we feel proud to hav such a hardworking actor in our indian film industry.especially to mani sir, the locations n the camerawork are breathtaking.i felt sad about the reviews i read.i strongly oppose the people, critics who say that this movie is not gud.i only suggest the critics to just look into the pains the actors nd the makers have undergone in making this movie before u start putting the heading movie review.
i wholeheartedly appreciate the unit ,A.R.RAHMAN,AISH,ABHI,VIKRAM ,last but not least MADRAS TALKIES MANIRATNAM.
A small suggestion to VIKRAM.please do not giveup ur acting or get depressed by listening nd reading to these bad talks, reviews.we r always eager to watch u onscreen everytime as we wait for chiranjeevi, kamalhassan, rajnikanth,.ur having a marvelous talent, enrgy levels. i appreciate u for doing this movie .DAN DAN DAN DANDANAKAA DANDANAKAAAA……….
all the best,v hope the best from u.

Rahman should go for a change
by XYZ on May 08, 2010 09:10 AM

A R Rahman is a great music director. But I think he should go for a change. He always gives same high beat music. Hearing same type of music everytime is boring.

Am I the only one who found the album rather insipid or uninspiring? Apart from Behne De(which again sounded very familiar) not a single track registered with me. May be the songs go well with the situations in the film, but as an album it didnt work for me..looking forward to something more original from AR Rahman!

Totally agree.
Music is unoriginal and insipid (Just like GURU?).

Maybe Ratnam needs to collaborate with Pritam.

Rahman must be busy focusing on his world tour or hollywood..!!

I too found this album quite unoriginal. All the songs reminded me of some old work of Rahman's. Though I have always liked Rahman's work, this album reminded me of Yuva, Guru etc. Even then it lacks the paunch of Rahman's music.

I think he is busy providing music for Hollywood flicks.

arr and maniratnam
by whoami on May 03, 2010 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

Its always a matter of pride for reviewers to appreciate such men. Maniratnam is just an average director. Dilse, yuva and others expose director's fallacies and his limitations. ARR is an above avg music director(cant be called a genius). If media- both electronic and newspapers were as sophisticated as they are now then several music directors, directors in indian film industry (not only bollywood, but kannada, tamil, telugu and others too- i am impartial here) would have got the popularity and recognition that would have gone far beyond rahman's and mani's reach.
