You missed "Anchal me chupaale' (phir vohi...) and "Yeh reshmi zulphonka..(Mere sanam)and not the least "Chal akhela Chal Akhela..." O P Nayyar, Madan Mohan and Shankar Jaikishan were immortal music mestros whose melodies still liked by today's generation who have the misfortune of hearing loud scrap from Himesh Resamiya's and A R Rehmaan.. God bless OP Nayyar's soul with eternal & melodius peace.

You missed "aap ke hasee rukh pe aaj naya noor hai"-from Baharen Phir Bhi Aayegi. Terrific song. Very un-OP Nayyar stle, but immortalized by Md Rafi.
AS THE PROVERB GOES ONLY MAVERICKS R GENIUS, O.P. NAYYAR SAHEB DIDNOT BRING DISREPUTE TO THIS PROVERB. INDEED ONE OF THE GREAT MUSIC DIRCTOR OF YORE PASSED AWAY LEAVING BEHIND MANY OF HIS FANS SAYING " PUKARTHA CHALA HOON MEIN......
It's beyond the words to express the mourn on the deat of legend OP Nayyar Saab. And the music, he gifted us, is hard to compare with any other. So dinstinct and so symphonic to ever forget. I still remember when I first heard song "Ello ji sanam ham aagaye.. from "Andaz Apna apna, I just recall that this is something I heard of and then I come to know it is being composed by Nayyar saab. Really great musician and an unfortable person. Salute to the great man.
O P NAYYAR sir was a great composer. Asha bhosle n O P NAYYAR pair was a great pair as music composer n singer. Ashaji knows what OPji expected from her and OPji knows how talented her voice was. It's very sad that he's passed away.He had given lots of best songs to Hindi film ind.Todays music director are nothing.Also,he had given very right coment about Asha Bhosale.She had songs with Sanjay Dutt and Brett Lee,this shows that he was right a few months back.
he was one of the greatest music composer. Especially those sung by Ashaji will continue to capture people with its own charm... like the sound of the tonga thak.thaka.thaka..Songs like 'aap yun hi agar humse milte rahe',yahi woh jagan hai yahi woh fizayen','haule haule sajana dheere dheere balma','huzurewala jo hogi izajat' and many others will continue to be heard by people.
the song 'jhumka gira re' is from the movie 'mera saya' and the music director is Madan Mohan and not OP Nayyar. Please make a correction in an otherwise good article.
Music world will never forget-Old songs, old movies, Old melody,and the great peoples like O P Nayyarji, will be always remembered by us until Sun rises on the earth.I fell too much sad now. I pay homage to him.May God give him pease in soul.
