Can anybody shed light on how O.P. Nayyar Saab landed up in Thane? Rumour has it that he was wandering on the streets of Thane when someone who recognized him decided to give him shelter.
He belonged to our generation and kept up tapping toes to his exhilerating tunes in the 50s and 60s. Even all those electronic marvels of musical instruments now in use cannot possibly match OP's sense of rhythm and the effects he created in a way unique to himself....He brought out so many compositions still living young in the hearts of those who are no in their 60s...We thank you OP for your contributions
i am 30 but iam a great fan of him i salute him pay tribute to this man the man without lata simply great no words to say anything i am a fan of lata but i also a fan of op op sab amar rahenge
The man who made Asha bhonsle is no more. Nayyar Saheb was 'Lakhon mein ek' incidentally this film was done by R.D. Burman. Asha may praise RDB. all the time but she should know that listener's ears are sharper than the crooner. Who can forget'Raton ko chori-chori', 'Ye hai reshmi zulfon ka andhera', 'Chhota sa baalma'and 'Aao huzoor tumko'....all fantastic compositions. Who can create'Chal akela chal akela chal akela', and 'meri needon mein tum mere khwabon mein tum' other than NAYYAR? Hats off to NAYYAR SAHEB for giving us such gems. Both sisters are guilty of promoting their own 'lobby' but we all know that singers are only interpreters and real king is the CREATOR.
Asha may have forgotten him but we listern's didn't. He was 'lakhon mein ek'; incidentally this film was done by Asha's favourite R.D. Buuman. Both sisters should know that listener's ears are sharper than them and only promoting 'Madan Bhaiyya and RDB would do them no good in the long run.Who can forget 'raton mein chori-chori, 'ye hai reshmi zulfon ka andhera', 'chhota sa baalma'and 'aao huzoor tumko' to name a few. He also created master-pieces like'chal akela chal akela chal akela'with Mukesh and 'Meri neendon mein tum mere khwabon mein tum' with Shamshad and Kishore. Hats off to you sir, as we know that these singers are mere interpreters and only music-director is the creator.
it is a foolish mistake!! it was by late maestro madanmohan. OP nayyar has many other lovely scores not this one!! take care before blabbering anything!!!!
