So in a commentary to do with Shilpa Shetty, prasun premrajan has mentioned that he as a Mallu hates Tamils. I am Telugu living in Mumbai and let me tell you one thing Mr Premrajan. We in India are not united. Its people like you who dis-unite us. Who do you think gave you much of your glorious culture, its the tamils. All you ancient books in Kerala was written in Tamil. Chera Nadu was a Tamilian kingdom. Be appreciative of your history and you will appreciate Tamil

Hello Prasun..see people like you are making India to feel shame.We Indians are telling that in near future India will become a super power.
Countries like Japan had already reached the goal even after getting Independence after us.You can take countries like Malaysia,Singapore into consideration.How valuable they are in the global market..!
So,try to accept all your neighbours as your relatives.Not only you but every Indian.So that we can achieve our's.If we grow obviously our country also grows.BE PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN!!!
Shilpa participated on her own to earn more money. She saw the Reality of the Reality Show and unable understand the situation. During the difficulty she realized that who supported whom and for what reasons. Unfortunately when she continued in the show dispite of the fact that the show was supporting racism. If she is really having any patriatism she should have come out from the show. But she is Riding at the cost of Indias Pride?

NO, Incorrect. She is allowed no access to T.V., NEWSPAPER, RADIO, OR PHONE. No contact to outside world at all, so she has not seen the video footage of what the abusers said behind her back. Big Brother should have at least filled her on what going on like they did for Jade but that would just have lose money wouldn't it and we can't have that now can we.
I feel proud the Indian Community in U.K. voiced there complaints and, this is the only way they realize the influence and Power our community has in U.K. or in other country abroad. You will have to respect us and accept us as your own. I am a Indian and have lived in U.S. all my life and born here and I feel damn proud of the Indians in U.K. I felt all my life that my voice was never heard here or in India as an Indian-American, but now I do feel its being heard in the U.K. I am absolutley disgusted and feel very sad about the reaction the Indian press has given but not suprised. I realize while talking to some of my family and friends in India asking what they think. Some dont want to accept this fact of life because they are hell bent on going abroad (I wish anyone who comes and lives, studies or is coming to work abroad a happy and successful life in U.K. or U.S. but I would ask to at least believe and listen to what your family or friends tell you about there expierences with this and believe fellow Indians in U.K. reactions so you can be prepared if you would be subject to racial slurs and have the people there to support you, if you keep denying no one might not be there) I also hated the type of thinking that my friends were saying its not a big deal and some think she is an actress, she has a good life, makes lots of money and I dont have her life or a good life so who cares if anybody is subject to racial anything I dont care attitude, I hate that type of thinking and attitude. Have indians become so jealous and competitive with each other and each others success that when our own culture is being ridiculed like this that they react to it in this way??? To my family and friends who want to come abroad so desperatley I have welcome that,I welcome they expierence life anywhere themselves no matter good or bad and for those who cannot see the big picture Open your Eyes to whats going on in the world right now, get a little more worldly in your thinking and grow up. Indians in India dont want to beileve or they think they are something too special for them to be a vicitim of racsim. NO THIS IS NOT THE TRUE. It will happen to anyone with just one look of the color of your skin. Just because I have a american accent or one has a British does not make diffrence to this ignorant western world. Did it save that the South American who was shot in a London Subway Station??? !! I think INDIA and INDIANS need to open up there eyes on how there family, friends or fellow INDIANS are living abroad and not to be JEALOUS there not abroad or TURN THE CHEEK OF DENIAL TO RACISM. I do agree with Indians from the 60's that one of the post mentioned that they said "this is what you have to deal with no pain no gain", I understand that many people in India would be better off listening to racial slurs abroad and earning money to eat a decent rather than having to beg on the road to eat in INDIA but the ones who can make a diffrence listen and PLEASE DO SUPPORT YOUR LISTEN TO YOUR INDIANS IN THE U.K.. People here in the West need to know we are and have been citzens of this country too and we refuse to be treated in this way otherwise they will get away with and it will just keep going on. This let the world know now and there is NO turning back.
Considering the Westerners superiors to oneself is there in the blood of most of the Indians and it is mainly for favor from them. I am not saying that Shilpa is one of them. Whether it is a politician, business man or an average Indian, the attitude is the same. They will do sycophancy to them and will go to any extent in order to please them. It is the same when a western leader visiting India. I still remember what even the Communist Government in West Bengal, a state in India did when John Major and UK business men visited Calcutta a decade ago. The worst candidates are Businessmen who will lick the legs of their counterpart in Western countries for a business deal with them. The Westerners, who already consider themselves superiors, are enjoying this shameless sycophancy. I believe it is not the Westerners but the Indians are mainly to be blamed for this situation.
Hats off to Shilpa, Iwas never a great fan of any actor/ess. But must say the dignity that Shilpa has shown is truly admirable. It was very easy to snap back in those circumstances, but she was and is graceful still on!!!Good Job Shilpa ..Iam proud of u
On a very serious note I really hope that the strong remarks made by Jade about India be an eye opener for the
clumsy & good for nothing but 'IN CHARGE' people of our country and the state of affairs improve after hearing views about our country. If only everyone does the job they are appointed to do..no one can beat India from being a superpower.. Indians have the right caliber and a very positive outlook towards life,to go out there and achieve the impossible !

First of all i feel very proud that Jade has got what she had to due to her bad behaviour. She has been very good. There is one comment from many of indians telling there is no use blaming others when we have so many caste and communal problems in india. This is not the right statement. Eventhough we have many problems within our country we have to support a person from our country who is in distress in a foreign land. Thats called humanity and national spirit. when it comes to cricket the whole nation stands as one as always it has been. We should be like that even this issue which is of prime dignity. Lets join our hands and give helping hand to everyone who face this situation in future. Lets hope the world gets to be a better place to Live in.

That's precisely why we need to ship the likes of you to the middle-east and other countries, where you can get a doze of the Arab-treatment to induce a bit of the civic sense in you (hand-chopping, or perhaps head-chopping)! Most Indians, like yourself, who justify Shilpa's treatment are more fixated on how much she earns rather than on the moral issue of racism. The green-eyed monster seems to have totally consumed the modern Indian, that he actually applauds another Indian, who is economically and socially succesfull, being kicked around. No wonder the foreign invaders had an easy time ravaging India. Indians like you sold the rest of Indians for a very small pay.

There can be hudnred flaws withing our country like keralites dont like tamils, north doesnt like south. East doesnt like west and so on. shilpa is an indian , taking part in a reality tv show ,based in britain ; so i guess that means that she is representing india ....forget for a minute how much she;s earning and say u heard someone say something racist to an indian while u were travelling , wld u first ask where that person was from india (north ,south,east or west ) or wld u help first ???!! ask urself that my friend , maybe the answer is right there , maybe if there is a hypocrite in all of us there is also a covert racist in all of us ...shd we protest if shilpa has been treated unfairly ??yes definitely ...

Thank you for this article. As an ordinary white American and loyal fan of Shilpa's, I was apprehensive when she accepted the spot on CBB. However, Shilpa comes across as a very modern, courageous, adventurous person and indeed she has proven herself in real life to be the heroine and role model she portrays on-screen. What other so-called A List actress could have taken the knocks that Shipa has, from both the ethnic bullies on Big Brother and the snide critics in the Indian press? Nice work, Shilpa, you are the best.

I agree it is the Brits to blame for also who still have our diamond here! But Indians should not be so Submissive towards Racism, like Shilpa is now.
