Singers should stop complaining and reinvent themselves and surely find a place even amidst new singers. Even Alka has been bitter. Now look at Asha - she keeps busy with her live concerts every year and then comes out with Asha and Friends and gets on the music video charts. Then comes Lataji with Saadgi and her Mujhe Khabar Thi music video and that is also in the top three. As for Kumar Sanu the audience does appreciate when he sings in the live concerts.
Why we indian, specially older people condemn modern days music and singers only on the basis of past.We should evaluate the present day singers on their merit not because of they do not take birth in sixty or seventy.Of course Rafi,Mukesh,Manna day were the greatest but it is not fair we keep searching their voice in sonu nigam, kumar sanu, shaan or udit.it is the hysteria of those people who like to live in past.In my view sonu nigam, shreya ghoshaal and alka yagnik are the modern days great singers.please do not compare them with the past time greatests.
Most Kishore Kumar fans are musically illiterarate and jump into nonsense arguments to prove he was best. They have zero knowhow about the history and glory of the golden period that ended in 70's so that 'gili gili appa' singers like KK could get a few songs to sing.
How in the world can be be even half good as other legends when he was a complete reject in all decades be4 70's.
He was forced into stardom in 70's by backing of the Burmans who went to every length to give him a singing career specially Pancham who tailor made easy songs for him.
Kishore kumar was not even good enough to sing his own songs and Rafisaheb was called on several occassions to sing for him.
Kumar sanu had a few good years, his ego and arrogance could make Abhijjet look modest.
All these are sadak chaap singers, the olden journey of indian music ended i 1980 when Rafi saheb passed away.
If people lack knowledge about Hindustani filmi music and the intricasies of siging then they must shut up and discuss sanu and other of his colleagues and not discuss legends z.

From '70, R D Burman appeared and became the greatest music director of India. Hence, the logic of goden age ended in 70's is not agreeable.

Why RDB even Bappi is greatest...didn\'t I say KK fans are illiterate and RD BURman is the most over rated music director who was a music cheat.
Most of his works are begged, borrowed or stolen. How does he qualify to be a great music director let alone the greatest, if at all he is the greatest music theif.
Shankar Jaikishen, Naushad, OP Nayar, Sachin Dev Burman, Madan Mohan, Roshan, Ravi, these are all great MD's.

Himesh is even worse than 10 foxes howling at night. If I am given a choice to listen to either hyenas or Himesh, I would pick hyenas.
