Really, I doubtfull whether you watched a film SARAKR before writting a review Do U know Even small theaters are house full and not a single person has any comment agaist the film.
A Friendly Advice:- Criticising a film unnecessarily in review is not an achievment but Raja it is taking you away from the public. And if that is so why dont you try and make a Film like SHOLE so that we can again see great movie.
the subject of this post says it all..raja sen is a biased, blind srk fan with absolutely no sense of good cinema..rediff bigwigs, its high time you take not and keep such entities away..no one in their sane mind would declare any srk movie to be worthy of comparison to an amitabh movie..all srk movies are of the same romantic mushy type with no cinematic value to them..if you must know when it comes to acting,a romantic actor will get no credits for acting cause love is an emotion portrayed by everybody but in different ways..so good acting means complex emotions, realistic histrionics etc,
but as usual raja sen has no grasp of the subject..perfect example being paheli..this is a garbage movie if ever there was one..typical srk movie..just some breathtaking visuals which crores of rupees will get you anywhere..sad acting, the horrible st..t..tuttering of srk,and feeble songs added to complete the roll of film and distract a vague audience from noticing a stupid unrealistic story with the weakest of scripts...oh btw i know this msg wont be posted as usual..but i didnt want it to be for lack of trying
Simply stated..a magnificent movie..the 2nd best movie of 2005 after Black..
as expected its very deeply inspired by the cinematic bible..The Godfather..
from the very first scene,(the amerigo bonasera episode in the godfather)
ram gopal verma has created a beautiful celluloid wonder.the cast well, all the people involved ve put in better than good performances but the credit there goes to the director n his technical team..brilliant lighting, editing and cinematography strengthen a good script resulting in an excellent movie..
now the top 3 performances in the movie..Kay Kay has done a fabulous job as the hot tempered erring older son..simply captivating..
second best is a surprise..the new superstar Abhishek Bachchan has given the best performance of his career..deep,mellowed intense(michael corleone)
and he has benefitted immensely from his father's screen presence..
and as usual the best performance in the movie, without a shade of a doubt,
the Living Legend, AMITABH BACHCHAN ..
while its a given that there will be an intense comparison to Marlon Brando's immortal DON VITO CORLEONE,the GODFATHER, Big B has held his own and created a whole new portrayal..as far as rumors regarding this being a take on bal thackeray, well its just that a rumour..no resemblance at all..
but the greatest revelation has been ABHISHEK BACHCHAN..gone are all his chocolate appearance and characterisations...here he has delivered under pressure..and another surprise,Katrina Kaif has learned to act..she is done a good job..rukhsar as the elder daughter in law is splendid..and the villains..all are original and brilliant...
finally...Sarkar is Ram gopal Verma's best movie yet and is an absolute treat to watch...the only possible complaint:- it is too short only 110 minutes running time !!!!
too short and it leaves u begging for more..which is the ultimate USP of the movie..its greased lightning on celluloid...
The movie is fantastic. The reviewer should understand that...is a indian version of Godfather.
If it 'ld have been exactly remake/clone of Godfather...then also critic 'ld have critised that.
Rather i'ld say...its a mix of Godfather...and Bal Thakery's life. The Nagare family, 2 sons, death of Vishnu, elder son, remote control over chielf minister...many things resembles to Bal Thakery's actual life.
The performances, plot, script, background music ("Govinda...Govinda") everything was toooo good.
