Amitabh is God when it comes to movies.. Abhishek hasn't been better..his best work to date.. Cannot imagine Sarkar without these two.. Verma thrills u with this engrossing tale (I Don't care whether it is Godfather remade or rehashed). Perfect execution..not digressing at any moment.. A well made film... Thumbs Up to the Factory!!
Well most of the people here might disagree with me..but I still think Sarkar is am amazing film.. Its got class..The Bacchans have acted tremendously..and Kay Kay Menon packs a punch too..I've been a huge fan of Ram Gopal Varma since I watched Rangeela..and I can say with confidence that Ramu has lived up to my expectation!!! Congratulations Ramu!!......folks do NOT miss this film.. its intensity and powerful scenes will surely move you!!
I am an ardent fan of Mr. RGV and right from the day the movie was in its making, I've been wanting to watch this film. And I did...only after reading this review by Mr. Raja Sen. Mr. Raja Sen, I missed Batman Begins coz' of you. I read your review and thought it would'nt be worth watching. I realised that I was wrong only after watching Sarkar. Your reviews are too gross. I should'nt have given a damn about your review...I missed Batman Begins. I agree that Sarkar is not RGV's greatest film till date, but he delivers.
Well, Mr Sen, if you went to the hall to see something close to The Godfather..it was very ambitious of you. I agree this is definitely inspired by Godfather..but the Indian rendition has been done quite well. Performances are good ....and dropping Fontane/Brasi wasn't a big issue, though a Tom Hagen(someone like Rajit Kapoor) won't be a bad idea.In an industry which squeals "I love you" every week, its valiant attempts like this film that keeps serious viewers going back to theatres. And its simply childish to expect Brando/Pacino/Coppola/Rota's magic.....Cmon..even Coppola could not live up to the standard in Part-3.So I would ask all film lovers to take the initiative to head towards the theatres..I loved the performances, cinematography and direction.only thing I agree with the critic is "For Sarkar, it's not business, it's personal."..the cold objectivity of the Godfather which was the treasure of part 1 or 2 is lacking......but its UNFAIR to compare and could have been made a point for criticism only if RGV had actually challenged FCC(!) and this is a very good film in its own merit. So please "Open mind for a different view." Sayan Ghosh

I saw Sarkar few days back and I was really impressed. People are now realizing the caliber of this guy RGV as a movie maker. He dares to do different and that's why he is the best.
Indian Cinema needs directors, producers like Ramu.
Time and again he has proved that to make a great movie you don't need crores of rupees, foreign locations, Mercedes BMWs and mallikas with their item songs.
