i think the reviewer has done exceedingly well in this review while he was comparing one of the greatest classic of all times" The Godfather" by coppola and "Sarkar".but as he has pointed out correctly that looking at the script, Sarkar was nowhere close to The Godfather,infact i was so disappointed by the script that i slept for 10 minutes in the theatre.technically speaking the camerawork was pathetic which was unexpected from a RGV movie. low angle frames,long shots,useless fade in fade outs,pathetic background score. Performances were still better but not comparable to the likes of Marlon Brando and Al pachino. I think Mr RGV could not decide till what extent he has to copy Godfather and what percent orignality he should maitain. Undoubtedly, no one else could have matched the character persona better than our Big B. KK did extremely well in his role but didn't got enough support.Abhishek was too meek character to begin with and could not carry the intensity of Mr Bachhan.Supriya pathak played her character well but the spark was missing in the whole screenplay, specially the dialogues were too bad. Fire the dialogue writer for making mockery of such an awesome movie.
Sarkar is a must watch with awesome performance by all and mast dialogues. Nice story, bit of comedy with the silver mani guy... and a fast moving movie.
Dont know why rediff has given a bad review to sarkaar, infact everybody I know who have watched the movie seemed to like it a lot...
I agree with most of them that Raja is not a good job reviewing movies, i think Sarkar was a great movie and RGV agreed that is not an exact remake of Godfather, Mr Raja has a problem with the movie being so good and may be he had to write something against the movie. I think he should be replaced when reviewing other films. RGV has done a great job in the making of Sarkar, he started a new way of making reality movies keeping the indian audience in mind, he should be appreciated for that.
And how... I dont have to explain bcos other people have done that and I dont want to waste my time talking about this idiot(Sen) anyway. We have seen time and again how pathetic and partial his reviews have been in the past.
Now coming to Sarkar, this is one of the best ever in the history of Indian films. Excellent background score, superb direction, mind blowing performances, very good characterisation and above all no-nonsense script. far far better than those so called stammering srk movies. Its a big sin to even compare that joker with AB.
This one is a must watch.. so dont miss it. And dont read these childish reviews of rediff staff. Instead read Taran Adarsh and Subhash Jha reviews which give you a good idea about movie rather than comparing it to some hollywood movie.
Only a dumb person like raja can write such an article. Are you criticizing to create a name for yourself or are you truly dumb. Rename the article as "raja Disappoints"
