I saw BLACK from a flight back to Germany from Taiwan. I am not a Bollywood movie fan, nevertheless I thought: well, you have an 13 hours flight, why not watching a hindi movie and killing 30% of the time :). And this movie wasn't like the stereotype hindi mobvies I used to know. It was very emotional without being campy. Amithab Bachchan and Rani Mukerjee did a great and realistic performance. That's why BLACK should be nominated and hopefully win the Golden Globe.
Out of the 3 movies , Black is the only one that is extraordinary...the theme of Veer Zaara might appeal to some people..but Paheli is a total waste...It will not win a single award in India forget the Oscars and the Globes!!!
I feel Black should get the Golden Globe out of these three (Black, Paheli & Veer-Zara) movies because it's subject and the performances by all of the actors who were the part of it.
Excapt Black, the other 2 movies are a big mess to have in Golden Globe. If any one call these movies are award winning (Just bcoz SK played the lead role)then I am sorry. For me these movies dont even qualify for a nomination review. I hope I made my point clear and lot agree with me.
Paheli does not deserve to get an award. Paheli is bad film. It had bad script,bad direction, bad performances in the film. It is shame to rate film Paheli to be nominated for getting award. Instead Black,page3,mangal pandey should get an award.
