i think paheli deserves as it talks about the independence of a woman mentally ohysically emotionally pschologically , everything and this is what a to day woman looks for and i think i was terribly impressed with the concept
I feel Black is the best movie on the front of technical and acting wise. No doubt every one in the film from small girl to Rani and Amitabh done very good job and we can compare this movie to any world class movie.
Paheli is also a strong contender on the front of a nice story and the cultural cookery about Indian epic.
Veer Jara is just a ordinary commercial movie and not a strong contender for the award.
how about a golden duck? unfortunately, whoever chose films like veer zaara, black and paheli for this award obviously ( and stupidly ) think that hindi flicks are the be all and end all of indian cinema. will someone please tell them that lavish periodic sets ( veer zaara ), decent photography ( black ) and interesting costumes ( paheli ) are not what a 'complete' cinema stands for? or maybe i am just talking baloney.....this years IFFI had an item number as the intro spectacle and bollywood took the centre stage as if this was the real face of indian cinema! the national film awards had a best actor role for saif ali khan!! need i go on?
I think black has very good subject backed by nice presentation and solid performances. Can say same abt veer zaara. I think black is more deserving amongst all of them.
I cant understand why all yash chopra movies are treated with such apositive bias by govt. I think it does not deserve a filmfare forget abt any international award.
black deserves awards in all categories.paheli is zero.i still cant believe how it enterd into the oscar award.so i can simply say that its just bcoz of faith that black doesnt desrve an entry.at least they get some awrds here.i wish them all the best
No. none of these deserve noms. Black is a copy(Mirale worker) and copy films are not eligible and they will be a disgrace, Paheli is mindless and ridiculous and veer-zaara is a rank bad movie with out any real substance.
