I guess Bollywood should first start churning original scripts. Of the three- Black, Paheli and Veer Zaara, I guess only Paheli I guess has some original script, i.e. based on some Rajastani Folklore.
Black, I read is a remake of \'The Wild Chil\' and Veer Zaara is just remodelled using the typical love masala just with a Pakistani Character in it.
Only when Bollywood is capable of coming out with orginal scripts, dialgoues, creativity, stunts amongst other technicalities should it be able to go to Golden Globes.
I admire and appreciate the work of Bachan, ShahRukh and several others. Except for the few movies that come out with original content around 5% of bollywood movies the others are just recycled forumales or copies of international or local movies.
How could you think of competing at global levels with such movies. I feel embarrassed when there are whites sitting next to me in a movie hall and laughing away and leaving movies halfway through. The only people who watch Indian movies abroad are the Indians themselves. This is nothing to do with the global reach we boast of.
Good luck to Bollywood, and hope for some sense to prevail around movie making.
I don't know all the nominees for Golden Globe .. So I cannot say it Black deserves the award. But I definitely think that the movie was a mastrepiece in all the aspects and definitely deserves nominated.
On the other hand, in my personal opinion Veer-Zaara and Paheli were not even worth considering any award. I found both the movies just mediocre.They lack the class and standard that "Black" had.
I would say that out of three , BLACK and Paheli Deserves an award.. Black for the performance of Rani and Amitabh .And paheli for gr8 effort of SRK and Amol Palekar..
Veerzara, i would say it's just a same love story except for the difference that SRK has to stay in Pakistan jail for 22yrs which did not happen in any other love story , rest all is the same old thing .
Infact, none of the indian movies made in any indian language deserve the golden globe or anyother awards given out in the world forums. these movies are made on indian standards with no stories or stories copied from other country movies. Indian creaters have a lethargic mentality to create something new and they find it easy to plagiarize someone else's work.
well to be reall honest , black was the only movie among of these which i loved it and wud watch and cry as many times i wud see ,but veer zaara plss no ways , it was one of the pathetic movie i have ever seen , and well paheli had a nice story , but what i think it can win is all abt showing true rajasthani culture into it and showing the real india , well the chances of black no winnign cud be just there had been movies made on tht topic in many international country , so black has tht only tough chance , and with tht paheli moves fwd ....well tht my opinion what u guys say!!!!
