an open letter to our leaders
by bvs on Jan 23, 2011 12:15 PM

The Initiative is highly appreciated. The consisted of people with highest levels of INTEGRITY. These all the feelings of common man. But their voice is not heard in the corridors of power. This forum should have some more members from other sectors - and work like House of Lords and give a direction to the govenment.

An open letter to our leaders on corruption
by bvs on Jan 23, 2011 12:01 PM

It was heartening to see the initiative by a group of intellectuals as well business leaders with high levels of integrity.
The initiative is highly appreciated by helpless common man, whose anguish is not at all felt in the corridors of power.
As a common man - we helplessly look at the politicians who eat away all our taxpayers money and get frustrated when they evade direc questions with a cunning smile -
THIS GROUP SHOULD ACT LIKE A REAL UPPER HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT - AND INITIATE DIALOGUES ON EVERY ASPECT OF GOVERNANCE - AND EVEN THE CONSTITUTION -

Congress politicians are worse than hardened criminals, you cannot reform them!!
Probably these corporate honchos do not know this!!
Take case of ND Tiwari!! at the age of 86 years he is a womeniser and Congress governor in Andhra Pradesh, where he will have time for welfare of people!!
Same is the case with other politicians, but the scale of corruption maybe less!!
The country has very bleak future.

Majority rule
by Tom Dick on Jan 22, 2011 08:37 PM

If we have corrupted rulers who is responsible for it? Only majority votes get to rule the country. So if our leaders are corrupt, we are to blame ourselves for electing them.In this country we elect again and again proven corrupted leaders to rule us. A corrupt minister cannot stop corruption in his department. So corruption is rampant from top to bottom. Highly respected armed forces, judiciary etc are all under the shadow of corruption. So instead of complaining about corruption, let us all decide to make a change by electing honest people to rule us. If that doesn't happen, then that means majority of our people want corruption.

Majority rule
by Tom Dick on Jan 22, 2011 08:28 PM

In a democracy, the majority rules. Now if we have corrupted leaders at the helm of the government, it obviously shows that majority of Indians are corrupt? Only corrupt people will elect a corrupt leader.Otherwise how can corrupt leaders get elected over and oevr again? Now one may say that there is no alternative. Why not? I hope respected people like Premji and others will be able to open the eyes of the people who matters.Hopefully it is the beginning of a change and ordinary people will think before they cast their vote.Higly repected areas like our judiciary, armed forces etc are all under the shadow now.

I have high regards for top businessmen of our country and their courage to write an open letter on issue of corruption.

But, what about the need to pay for such corruption and in which circumstances the business community contribute for propagating the corruption..

Talk on issues like removing reservations of any kind, common civil code for all citizen of India, enforcing laws on basis similar to seen in Middle eastern GCC countries, huge waste of foodgrains and vegetable due to lack of proper storage facilities, hiding the big fishes involved in blackmoney accounts in the name of confidentiality & treaties (why gove had made such treaties when other countries dont rerspoct their commitments, High cost overrun & delay in projects of natioonal importance.. there are many burning issues

I suggest that all discretionary powers to be subject to high level of answerability to general public and any citizen be allowed to procecute any politician or any official ..

Please raise your voices on these issues as well..

Satyamev Jayate..

Kishan Solanki

The IT company in India has most corrupt management control (either by region or cartel).
If they think of the country as a whole, it becomes a question mark on what they are preaching.
