corruption
by Harshad Mehta on Jan 23, 2011 06:56 PM

One and all should note that all needs too much money and power. So, it is impossible to ontrol pollution. Also, note that even rich, wise businesspersons need much more money. That is why they bribe politicians as much as possible. Why all these wise, clever, rich don't stop bribing politicians. If they have to stop doing business; but, don't bribe them.
If possible, see that politicians are caught, taking bribe. They should prove their honesty, sincerety by helping to catch them.

Corporates are partner of Corruption
by ramakant mehra on Jan 23, 2011 06:48 PM  | Hide replies

I have been working with Corporates for last 15 years. My experience is it is Indian Corporate, who feed leaders with gignatic bribe to get their project through. It is only a matter of quantum, means when Corporate by giving bribe gets benefitted, they keep mum. But when their interest gets hurt by politicians they start commenting. In fact, Corruption is outcome of Corporate and Politicians JV partnership in dark room and under the table contract arrangement. Can anybody ask question to Ajim Premji, how much money he has paid to get the NOC for his office complex land and bulding clearance to concerned government officials/politician. Such corporators are just trying to befool mass.

Yes. There is way, but it is long term plan -
1. First, you have to keep your lust curbed. Because, every Indian corporates are trying to grow fast and come first by hook and crook totally neglecting their role towards sustained development of society and nation. Their short self-gain attitude will have to be curbed first by their own.
2. Once, they reach on above stage, then they have to form a group with the other corporates pleadging very strictly that they will not bribe, even if they suffer for sometime in present. This will slowly slowly start process of weakening the ties be bribe between Corporates and Politician.

Dear above are slow process, but really strong, this is the only method by which corporate can prevent feeding corrupt officials/politicians in current scenario in India. I am just citing an example to you. In Mumbai one building auction price has been fixed three times higher than the market price, corporate didn't turn and finally Govt. has to lower the price to market price. Similarly, if politician wants to feed them 200-300 crores rupees in lieu of giving any project, it is duty of every corporates not to give the amount to politician and abandon the project. Politician can just hault the project, cannot hault the energy of growth/development. After sometime, project will be awarded at market price. In India, now days project cost is high only because of under the table extra bribed money to be given to politician/government officials

solution
by vishal srivastava on Jan 23, 2011 06:48 PM

It is figured out that more than 80% Indians are corrupt, only their level of corruption varies. This is a drastic situation for those who are not corrupt. So now they have two choices:
1. Finish corruption anyhow.
2. Become corrupt themselves.

The first possibility is only possible through a complete revolution in current Indian scenario, which is impossible because corrupt people are dominating or they have powers of every kind.
So the second solution is merge with them and the problem will vanish.
So only second solution seems feasible for us.

Open letter on corruption
by DAYA SINHA on Jan 23, 2011 06:45 PM

Sir,
Apropos the open letter on corruption,I must say that while the endeavour, is worth appreciating, the will is conspicuous by its absence. While, it is a foregone conclusion, that our politicians are corrupt, are the signatories themselves above board? Do they follow ethical business practice or whatever their vocation may be? A few years back HDFC Bank was one of the principal scamsters to have cornered a substantial portion of the IDFC IPO by circumventing the rules. If people are willing, need to legislate would vanish.
India is a rich country inhabited by poor millions(rather billions). Needless to mention, that people get the leaders they deserve. An e-mail is doing the rounds, which says that Rs. 28 lac crores are stashed in Swiss Bank, enough to feed the poor millions for 60 years or present a tax-less budget for 30 years or fund the entire infra-spending of the couuntry.Food for thought,eh.
