The Minister alone can not eradicate the ills within the AI system.Unless become competetive not only in cost but also in service quality which AI used to boost once. The grouns staff are arrogant, forgot the word politeness. The attitude one get from AI ground staff as if they are doing passangers a favour which should other way round.Cleanliness of counter, inside the air craft and the aatire of the staff need much improvement.Puntuality is the bigest casualty with AI starting from the ground staff, flight timing, baggage clearing and you name it.On board service is not that bad but the quality of facilities including seats and other amenities inwithin the aircraft including that of Business and first class need much improvement.Look at Emirates in long distance flight and so is Singapore air lines. If you give better service, keep time no one mind to pay more.Unless the attitude of AI staff changes for better future of AI lie in PRIVATE hand. The responsibility will lie with the AI staff and management.Make no mistake about it.
AIR INDIA WAS SNACHED FROM TATAS WHO WOULD HAVE RUN IT EFFICIENTLY.IT SHOULD BE HANDED OVER TO THEM BACK TO AVOID MISSMANAGEMENT. INEEFFICIENT AND BEUROCRATIC MANAGEMENT IS THE REASON FOR THE LOSSES
I suspect this loss not only due to inefficiency but also a fraud. I urge all citizens of this nation come on street to fight this massive loot of tax payers money. After all why air tickets must be subsidised since it is only used by rich people.

ministers make free trips on the govt airliners...these companies are asked to pay for their fringe benefits...i hardly blame the poor organisation for that.
This is Joke of the year. For a 40Min flight the crew travels 8hrs up and down in another flight that too in Business class.8 out of ten flights are in loss Never ever will these baffoons understand the value of tax payers money. VENKATESH

Shut down Air India. We will not let tax payers money fund the salaries of the fat cats at Air India. They pay a painter - 40,000 rupees salary. And what about incentives? They get incentives which are double their salary. What productivity have they shown for the incentive to be paid? The employees should be sacked and the airline sold to a private player who is willing to shoulder this holy mess called Air India.
I have traveled in AIRINDIA, and have seen how badly they treat people. We are always at their mercy, Infact one always get the feeling that they are making a big favor by serving us
Any change in AIRINDIA will be met with strikes and protests, the government will bow down and allow it to bleed further.
One question Mr. Patel: where were you for the last 5 years, did you not see this coming. Would you have allowed this to happen in your company CeeJay Group??
Why would you bother about AirIndia, it is a public property and public money after all.

Is there going to be a change in the minister as well? he also is part of top brass.
IAS or Neta ne Air India ki le li.Ab Kya Bacha Hai.If they are serious they have to bring in proffesionals from outside with no interference from these two castes.

There is one more group. The reserved candidates. They also should be kept out of this.
