Mr. Patel is trying to eye wash his doings in last 6 years. Why is he talking such now?..as if AI has slipped in this mess in last few months only!!..He has been ordering new planes for AI, talking big, international routes etc etc. and suddenly he is talking opposite. He is soleley responsible for this rot, and shold be booted out in public. what did he do as civil avaiation minister? All airports which are so called hyped around and new are no where near international standards/. They are just glorified rail/bus stations. See delhi and mumbai and bangalore airports-what a shame of waste of public money and land, what will our future genarations think, what we gave them as aiports?. You see everything seems falling apart from so called word class airports. I am an architect and can challenge that all design specifications used in these building ae of shoddy and compromise quiality. He has sold AI to jet and KF where his investements and his father Sharad pawar's money are. and now he will lease AI new planes to these airlines. He is biggest drama of this century..Mr Patel..usually gujaratis re like that...'aapno kaam banta, gaan maraye janta'

u r right Mr.Sanjay but don't blame Gujarati over here, Narendra Modi is also Gujarati but he uses the public money very wisely.

I agree. All these new airports are charging a number of taxes from flyers for no rhyme or reason. This Praful and his mentor Sharad are thieves of tenth order

All Ministers are taking Money to give these New Airports Monopaly status. Let them provide good service at resonable cost and compete with old airports.

Looks like AI needs a gora to turn it around. Govt wont privatise AI as it needs t control everything. That’s how the ministers, MPs, etc can push their candidates thru back door. Prafful Patel should also go. This Gujju is unfit to be a minister. He has put AI in deep s**t. Gulf Air and Qatar Airways have British CEOs and are making profits. May be AI needs a gora to rescue.
the ministry is giving excuses of " Unprecedented liquidity crunch, high oil prices, widespread economic gloom, declining passenger traffic, skills shortage, and overcapacity are squeezing the life out of India's state-run flagship airline. " but what about the extra and non working staff - what about the unnecessay huge big fat salaries ? sweepers are getting about 20k at the airport - man this is what you call " extravagant service ". what about the free tickets for all the staff and their full family ? what is the ratio of staff per aircraft ?
praful patel are your listening ?
over and above why has the government to bail them out - there are many other industry which are sick and going into losses ? why not help them out ~
these so called internationally reputed guys are unable to revamp the pvt carriers who themselves are bleeding. govt. just tryin an excuse for disinvestmetn.gather courage mr. minister.
no big deal employing additional / new / foreign top brass till the deep routed problems are solved, nothing is going to change !
the new top brass will shoot orders / change policies and do you think the thick skinned ai staff will adhere to it ? then again flash strikes and walk out and so on.........
