he he gotta agree on that! Also other "foreign" countries have their film royalty who at best have hoped for "foreign" film nominations, who must be eating their hearts out as well. fun, fun!

for what are the Indians crying out? for giving rahman the award? For not giving an earlier Indian movie an award? Or for giving rahman the award when he set a tune to a Hollywood and not a bollywood?what is teh problem with these people??I am an Indian and am so proud that teh jury could give an award to an INDIAN musician when he was spotted and created greta music. So what if he created better music earlier itself? Indians enjoyed, right? So, now teh world is recognising him and will start enjoying his music ,probably much more than Indians.
Idiotic Indian minds think AWARDS = REWARDS…hence the SDM hype… Success BREEDS Jealousy…this is a MEDIA terrorism on India’s image …heckling of India’s growing economic reputation. Poverty & crime exists in South & Central America, Africa, China,Thailand,Afghan,Pak,B’desh…etc, such a movie could have been made at other places too.. but the intent of giving OSCARS to this movie is surely to AMPLIFY slum garbage on India’s Hindu image and make GLOBAL MOCKERY & DISGRACE of HINDU India by Danny Boyle & his GORA groups.
I request some FILM producer make a magnum opus movies based on - Child exploitation in Middleast (say Saudi or Kuwait..etc) where street children are used for Camel races as jockeys…. - Child porn & Single TEEN MOM culture in Americas,Europe - Poverty & Drug trafficking in South America & Africa. - Female genetial mutilation & Honor Killings in Islamic Countries …particularly in North Africa. - Female booozers..and drug addicts in Europe and Americas. - Middle east Sheiks with “infinite” wives & keeps… exploiting poverty of Iraq,Iran,Afghan..etc.
I request every Hindu to ask himself one question - will you go to you’r office/school in a dirty, smelly, tattered clothes..etc if someone offers you a Candy or Chocolate as an AWARD ? I bet answer is NO. When we ALWAYS strive to put up decent appearance & image of ourselves … why not the same with Bharat Mata.

there are movies based on all these topics... some examples of recent award winning movies- Juno (teenage pregnancy in US), Kite Runner (child abuse afghanistan), The Last King of Scotland (the horrors in uganda) ... and there are many others... watch them and you will realize these are movies that should be made to make people aware that such circumstances do exist... and that we should do something to help these people or situations !!
What the movie shows is what a tourist coming from abroad sees as the first image of india... and as for people saying that Danny exploited India's poverty .. well at least he showed us the reality that we conveniently choose to ignore.. so if you feel the film portrayed india incorrectly, stand up and change things.. and if you cannot do that sit back and enjoy it.

Right on Ajit Singh. You took words right out of my mouth. Another reality check is that tragic condition of poverty still exist in Mumbai when you see picture of people who live in slums watcing the Oscars.

exactly... it exists and we just want to sweep it under the carpet and dont want it to be shown ever... we wont do anything to help the poor people but we wont let others know about their situation either. i dont know about others, but movies like this make me more determined to continue my work to help poor kids study and get a better life.
